Jewel-Osco

We love this jewel and almost everyone that works here. Today my kids found a quarter and lost it under a shelf...an off duty employee doing her shopping came up and saves the day sharing a quarter she had saying "it rolled right up to me"(winking st me)... just overall pleasant hellos from customer service reps /managers and just made us feel welcomed and appreciated . Update: still love this jewel. Especially love Mr. B in the sushi department . This evening I was shopping late and they opened a checkout lane for me because I had so many groceries

Good deli meats.

The devil is in the details. My Thanksgiving Dinner Box was incomplete after being reassured all items were in the sealed box. Found after arriving home dinner rolls and pumpkin pie were not included as labeled on box. This necessitated me making a return round trip of 12 miles thru holiday traffic. The contents of the box were rather disappointing ALL pre-cooked frozen items. This dinner is going to have to be extremely scrumptious and delicious for me to return to this store for any future holiday meals I am just saying. Stay tuned to this same bat channel for future after meal comments. 11/28/23 Here it is. The food was actually scrumptious and delicious. The turkey was off the chain tender, moist and browned perfectly. Ample sides that were all good quality and tasty. Plentiful portions fed 5 Thanksgiving day and fed 2 for the next four days their was even enough to make a nice turkey soup/stew which we still have some to eat and enjoy. Definitely would re-order this holiday meal again from Jewel-Osco ***** 04/02/24 Pro Excellent fresh Produce both fruits and vegetables Deli has a large variety of quality items Con Let the buyer beware of sale items offers are made with large print but the restrictions are in very small print on the same signage. Other sale signage is prominently place in close proximity to items to which the sale does not apply, easy to be misunderstood. In a word negotiating sales items is challenging More than a few personnel are generally not knowledgeable to location of items in store Other sale items are prominently displayed by picture signage but mostly never in stock e.g. watermelon in the 3 for $12 sale Clean well light store with a large well displayed variety of items. Would give this store 5 stars if not for the "iffy" sales throughout the entire store ****
