Our group of 5 decided to treat ourselves to lunch here after sending our sons off to Denver Sunday Jan 7/24. To begin with, if you think you are going to sit and watch planes land and take off, you'll be dissapointed. You'll watch the back end of a wing of the terminal. The food was what you would expect from any low end restaurant. The burger meat was a factory patty that I've had at cheap roadside truckstops. The chicken was your classic factory tasteless rubber chicken. The fries were lukewarm McCain style battered fries. The service was minimal at best, having to flag down our server to get additional condiments. Each time our glasses were refilled with water, the server would dribble water across the table. I guess this saves time when wiping the table down for the next customer. The only saving grace to this disaster of a "restaurant" is that we got a 3 hour parking validation. Given the prices, quality and experience, I would never recommend this place.
Fish and chips: fish is only 1 piece and overcooked for $30, Pajos fish and chips is better! I mean seriously. wings are overcooked too! This is Fairmont hotel. You should served good food not overcooked food!
Service horrible, food sub par, and way over priced.
Abel clarified something with me today that the restaurant doesn’t allow outside food but he showed great courtesy and kindness to outside guests and just wanna leave a 5-star review here.
Went for the $40+ burger :(
We enjoyed the visit here a lot! We stayed overnight in Vermouth Hotel, so no rush to the plane, just enjoying the evening. Food was brilliant! For sure the price was higher. Also the service could be quicker; more spanish style not airport rush style. I didn't blame the waiter as he was very busy. I would rather blame the management for having restaurant understaffed. Live music was just amazing! If I could I would stay more often overnight here and enjoying local atmosphere. Great evening, great hotel. Loved it!
Four stars is an amazing review for an airport restaurant. We stayed at the Fairmont overnight, which is literally inside the Vancouver airport. This is the hotel restaurant/bar and it’s got a very cool view of the jets taking off and the mountains in the distance. The bar is great and the bartenders were very attentive. The martinis are tiny. But you just order more of them lol. The exchange rate is good, so we got out with a dinner for under $400 w tip. Which is a pretty good deal… we had the oysters, which were literally divine. We split the signature burger which had great flavor and was plenty for the 2 of us. Calamari was a little too breaded but crab cakes were nice.. who can complain. The Turkey sandwich was out of this world! They even had live music We didn’t need to leave the airport ♀️
We just enjoyed a great meal at the Fairmont YVR Jetside Lounge. There aren't many reviews of this place so we weren't sure what to expect but we ended up having a very good dinner. Even the kids meal we ordered for our daughter was quite good when "kiddie food" is often an afterthought for most restaurants. She was given a delicious piece of salmon over rice with very nice vegetables on the side. Our other entrees were the Cobb salad, poke bowl and burger and all tasted good and were presented well. Prices are a bit on the high side but that's to be expected in the airport. We'll happily come back.
Hands down 5 stars. Staff is highly professional, they are knowledgeable about allergies and accommodating, and the food is fantastic! Dietary restrictions: Gluten allergy accommodations
Some menu food and good place to hang out if you opt for light bite/snacks.
