Looked at the menu, wanted to get chicken chow mein, from my experience of Chinese culture since when has chow mein had bean sprout as its main and only ingredient. Chow mein literally translates to fried noodles. I’m perplexed by the lack of knowledge coming from a Chinese restaurant. Decided to leave and went to get real chow mein noodles.
我点过一份烤鸭,太难吃了,端上来有一股臭味,吃起来外面的皮是热的,里面的肉还是凉的。真的很惊讶,这是在饭店里做出来的鸭子? 味道能让我吐出来!
Still the best chinese food in Halifax.
Worst experience.... Ordered pork bbq slices and veg chowmein. I have never seen a watery chowmein in my life. Chowmein must be dry but the chowmein I got was very watery like a soup noodles and tasteless , pork bbq slices was below average too... I ordered spicy too and both were not spicy.. I called them and gave feedback they said they'll change the chowmein and delivered another one but it was safe as before(watery and tasteless), i couldnt eat after 2/3 spoon. And its not written anywhere that their bbq pork slices comes with sweet honey sauce. Theres better restaurants dont order from here
Your chicken noodle soup is me and my cat's favourite dish in your store. Beef noodle is good too. My cat loves to chew the beef chunks. Hope you offer large portion of chicken noodle soup
The food was old cook from the night before dried up ribs they add 3 fresh ones, Chicken chow ming was a mess wasn't chicken some kind burnt meat might been cat, dog who knows, egg roll was so white inside. I advised anyone not to eat from Jean's, then didn't want to return food or my money back went to store very, very dirty.
I love it here. Lots of good food for a good price, always worth it! Conveniently located, one of my favourite restaurants in the city.
Food was good when it came, and very hearty portion sizes. Tons of menu options. Decor was also very interesting. But we were given dirty dishes (cups still with lipstick on them) and the table we sat at was sticky (visible globs of something). Server seemed annoyed when we asked for new cups. Tables were also quite crowded together, and the place was very quiet except the cashier on her phone, so not terribly comfortable for dining in. Several stairs to get up, accessibility may be a problem for older/disabled patrons. My company burned her hand on the radiator by her feet, so another thing to keep in mind.
Probably the worst Chinese food I've ever eaten other than the Panda Buffet place in Dartmouth. The tofu had a weird soapy flavour. The service was fine, but the food and the cleanliness was just gross.
