The food is just never up to par. Nachos are like concession stand style and pizza is always old as ever! 9$ for either and def not worthy of it. Oh and the 4$ fountain drink full of ice with no refill! I expect to pay more in a casino, but the food could at least be worth it! I I've tried it 3 times now when passing through and haven't enjoyed it yet! The customer service and coffee are always good!
I remember the day when food and drink at casinos was inexpensive. Not at Java’s Deli. This is the only “coffee shop” I found open in Shreveport at 6 am. The cappuccino was way too hot and tasted like coffee with milk rather than espresso. Oh well, what did I expect from a casino?
Skip Smokey joes and go to Java an instead. Same food (maybe better) for half the price. Basic cafeteria style food but decent quality and great price for a casino. I had the frito pie and chef salad the fist night. The frito pie is HUGE. I expected a small bag like you get at a football game but it was a huge pile. Night 2 I got the broccoli cheese soup and a ceasar salad. Neither were anything to write home about but for the price it was damn decent. Great value for the price and honestly pretty great for casino food.
Great place to grab a quick bite.
If I could less stars for service I would. Workers were very rude as we entered at 1:59am loudly announcing they were closed, however website and signage inside clearly states they close at 2:30am. I apologized and we thought they closed at 2:30am and the worker bluntly said no but he would go ahead and let us place an order only if we paid by card. We were then rushed to make a selection. After we made our selection several others came in behind us and were not told they were closed nor that they had to use card only. Never had service be this bad at Javas.
A friend invited me very nice and xlean
