Probably the smallest dine in restaurant possible. Just 12 seats. That too such tight sitting. But the brand power and food quality pulls customers. Great food, bombil fry being at its best. Prawns were tasty but limp. Fish pulimunchi was terrible. Meet dosas were terrible.
Food is great and service also 🤗
When in search of soul food in Mumbai (Bandra area) whether veg or a variety of fishes, Jai Hind is the place to be.
I tried their Daal, Rice and a variety of fish fries.
Their Bombil fry is amazing. Must try.
Even the Surmai fry is worth a try.
Service is great. It’s a small restaurant but the quality of food is stellar. Must visit.
Prawns Sukha Thali
Surmai Tawa Fry Thali
Bombil fry
Neer dosa
Bangda curry
Seating Issues at the restaurant. Management needs to work on it.
It’s a historic restaurant and been around Pali Naka / Pali Market for decades. I visited it after a few years and in my view the food (I always have sea food here) was better earlier than it was this time I ate here having said that they certainly are 4*/5*
Besides that the place is very small and probably the dinning area is barely 200 square feet if at all.
The cleanliness and hygiene is 5 on 5 for sure.
I’m the same price range and equally vast options there are places as good or better within a distance of 2 kms.
Parking is not available here as Ambedkar road on this Pali Naka is pretty narrow and crammed up.
However if one’s in this area and there is an urge for good seafood Jai Hind Restaurant certainly qualifies.
My food eating paradise. Love this place the thali here with bhakri are just what you would love eating. The also make an excellent pulimunchi.
