Ok so after taking all previous reviews into account I wanted to leave my own, First we made a reservation and got in early and got promptly seated. Atmosphere was light jazz music, dark ambience dining room light by candles on the table. Food: 10 people in our group Salads came out within 3min of being ordered. Meals: not even depending on what was ordered all the meals came out within 10min of being placed. Taste: being a cook myself I’m very forgiving in how many things are since I know the pressures of a kitchen. Taste was on Point, all steaks based on how they were ordered were correct on their doneness. My son and I had the 12oz prime rib with au jus, the crust was very flimsy with not a lot of flavor. The prime rib melted in your mouth as soon as you bit into it. The smashed red potatoes were tasty but lukewarm to cold, butter wouldn’t have melted if it was placed on top. Over all everything was good with a few minor caveats. The whole process felt rushed, from ordering to clearing the table and offering the bill. But if you’re looking for a decent steak and sides I’d say give this restaurant a go!
This was my first amazing experience. It was super crowded and I thought it would be a long wait so I sat at the bar with family. My table was ready sooner than expected. The bartender, waitresses and servers were above and beyond. The food was so good! I will definitely be back.
I usually have the ahi tuna salad, which is amazing, but tonight the tuna was not as good. Not sure what kind of tuna I was served.
I frequent this restaurant 3 times a month and the service is in decline. I recently sat at the bar and ordered to go and my order was totally wrong. $120 and not whole is a problem…..
Nope. It's Outback with better sides. My beef medallions dinner was room temperature. Sent it back and the new meal was tough as nails. Mac and cheese and artichoke hearts were good. Server and staff were super kind and great attitudes with knowledge of the menu, but service was slow. We were served apps before our drinks. 4 of us had dinner, 2 of us had an app, 3 of us had one drink(one was double served, said we didn't order it and were told we could keep it, yet it showed up on the check), no dessert, and the check was $310. Nope
We had a reservation we showed up early they seated us right away yaaa. We sat at our table for about 20 minutes with no contact. could’ve waited until reservation time to be seated. Appetizer was meh. Crab dip would’ve been better with baguette not chips. (Preference I know). Dinner served broccoli while it tastes good it was not even room temp. Steak not hot only hot item was macaroni and cheese. Same for partners meal. Pretty dark but I guess that’s not positive or negative. Sat waiting on our check for at least 20 minutes. First and last visit.
Update: They have improved, and it is my favorite place to eat. The carrot cake is the best in town, severed hot. The salmon dip is Awsome appetizer. The drinks from bar are great, and steak was cooked perfectly.
I’ve been coming here since back when they still had a smoking section. The best restaurant in Overland Park for bistro classics. I always have a great time here.
