Itto Sushi Downtown

We went just after they opened. The nigirii was good. The rolls were fine and pretty normal for sushi here in Salt Lake City. What was excellent was the fish. Our server let us know that the fish was delivered that day just before they opened. The blue fin tuna was top-notch and melted in your mouth. I would go back just for that! We also had the plum tea that was refreshing perfect warm sweet and sour flavors. Sadly, the food was so good that I didn't get a chance to take pictures. in this case, no pictures are a compliment.

Being spoiled the right way, with quality service, the waiters are always kind and very informative, the food is always sublime! Well made and beautifully presented to its quality I'm a huge fan sushi and Ittos is the only sushi place in SLC I have never left disappointed, best quality I've had in Utah.

came with my boyfriend for dinner. we’re on vacation to salt lake so we were pretty excited to try some food spots out here. went here with high hopes, left very disappointed and still hungry. food was alright, pretty basic sushi options and flavors. menus were taken from us while still wanting more, servers left many messes and were unable to supply us with any sauce (which i had to take from the table next to us). other people in the restaurant were also not very happy, sitting and waving to servers as they were yelling across the lobby. definitely not my first choice in any situation for sushi.

Food was absolutely amazing. Food tasted fresh and good. The service although, was pretty terrible. As soon as we got in our “server” looked at us bewildered and struggled to find a seat for us, though it wasn’t that busy. After we got seated and ordered our appetizers, several other employees came up and asked if we were ready to order. Such a lack of communication and organization. I had to remind my server about my appetizers, after we got our entrees. The menus were grabbed away from us without us asking and I had to wait 15 minutes for anyone to even come near us to ask for the menus back. I was not done ordering ? The bill also was pushed on us while we were still eating and about to order desert. None of the employees looked any sort of professional or like they even knew what to do. Service was terrible. Would rather take out.

Went there to treat my wife on her birthday but was disappointed by their service. Food was decent although sashimi was straight out of freezer as we could feel some frozen ice on it but we were disappointed by the service, they didn’t give us any napkins or chopsticks, basic cutlery to eat and I had to go pick it up twice myself from the counter and none seemed to have realized until I ranted

Itto is amazing and it is a spot I adore and have gone to multiple times with friends and family. The food is spectacular, and is brought out in a very timely manner. The service is polite, but more hands off than I am accustomed to. This is in no way to say that they are bad, they just leave you be to enjoy your meal and company. The dining area is cozy, but slightly crowded. Overall it's a great experience and a solid place to eat.

Great food and service! The atmosphere and ambiance could be improved though, but it’s tolerable because the sushi is amazing!
