Extremely disappointing. Pizza was not cooked to order, and the chicken wings tasted like they'd been in the freezer for months. First time I've been unable to even finish wings

This place is just like the neighborhood Italian place I grew up with. Cloth tablecloths, cloth napkins, adult servers who add to the experience, delicious food, but not pretentious. We stopped here for lunch on day 1 of a 4 day road trip, and we enjoyed it so much we stopped in again on our way home. The food was delicious both times. The eggplant and chicken parm dinners were delicious. The meal came with bread and pasta or salad. The second time, we had grinders, which were also good and huge. If we lived in the area, this would be a regular spot for us.

My husband and I stopped in tonight on a whim, on our way home to Clinton from Newark, and had an incredible meal. We were skeptical at first because the place was packed, but they found a spot for two, took our order right away. The food arrived quickly, was pipping hot and delicious. I grew up in Norwalk, and I have a lot of found memories coming to Italia with my family when I was a kid. There have been a few updates around the place over the years, but it's still as good as ever. Thank you for great meal!

Great food. Waiters are somewhat surly but they do a good job of getting the food out quickly. It's a neighborhood kind of place so you're not going there for atmosphere.

I really wanted to give this place a chance; came in with high hopes because the reviews were decent and we were looking to experience an Italian restaurant in Norwalk we have yet to visit. Unfortunately was a sour disappointment; Right from the get-go as we asked for 2 cranberry juices, the drinks came back from the bar and were completely tasteless pale red-colored water that didn't even look like cranberry juice distributed from the bar-soda gun: their Bruschetta is nothing more than their house bread, toasted with cut baby tomato, chopped garlic and drizzled balsamic. It was something you would expect from a roadway diner but not an Italian restaurant. Being an Italian cook myself, the most important starting materials are your cooking oil, and the quality of your garlic and vegetables. Their cooking oil is sub-par and tasted nothing like olive oil and more like motor oil as a background taste to all the food we had, which included a side of broccoli rabe (overcooked and salty with little taste), and my puttanesca sauce on my penne, which had to be by far the worst tasting puttanesca I have ever had. My wife got a meatball with her ravioli which was dry and tasteless, seemingly cooked from frozen with freezer burn. Did not taste fresh by any means. Her ravioli were decent to their credit and their marinara sauce was equally satisfactory. This place has been around for quite a while and seems to be well loved, but due to the poor quality of our food experience we will not be returning.
