They do make few good dishes for vegetarians. This time I had ordered a Pulao to go. They had packed Jeera rice instead. It’s really a bummer as I drive 30mins to pickup the food and I see a wrong order when I come home.
Visited India Bazaar Desi bites and made it a priority to visit this restaurant as it was recommended by a friend. Great taste, reminded me of food back home in India. We ordered Irani chai , mutton curry combo mutton biryani, live sugarcane juice, butter chicken, ginger chicken It’s self service resturant we get all food very hot and fast service The place was very clean We will come back soon and try it other items
Not a place to buy fresh vegetables. Every-time I buy I get disappointed. Specially jackfruit , coconut .
Good place for shopping Indian groceries and Their Food court is very clean and have wide variety of south Indian food
The food at the restaurant was ice cold . Customer was very poor! They have it on the door that you need to clean the table yourself! Tables are dirty and they expect you to clean it yourself before you eat. Will never return!
I ordered a cake for my birthday. The design was good on the outside of the cake and the flavor was good as well (I got Irish Coffee). However, the color was not the color in my inspiration picture which I had sent to them. I wanted a pastel pink and got a almost neon pink. They also messed up the number 18 which weren't even centered in the middle. Overall, they did a good job on decorating but they did not follow my inspiration picture.
Two days ago I ordered boneless biryani and bone-in biryani from them. I think each box is $9.99 each or something around that. This is not the first time I am ordering a to-go from them. When I came home and opened the box, to my disappointment, the bottom layer of the biryani was bright red and full of oil and masala. Hard to figure out where is the chicken! I found a piece or two after searching for pieces. So this was my visual experience of their most expensive menu item. Now comes the taste buds review. I was hoping for a flavorful biryani but just by look at the bright red color of the rice I could tell that it’s not a traditional biryani but is a “MIX” of two separately cooked dishes. First bite, and I felt like running for fire extinguisher!!! Goodness, who in the world makes so spicy dish. I am a bong girl and can take heat as we eat raw green chilies as is. But this was something else. this dish could kill someone if served daily. I wish I can teach them the history of biryani and how being a south indian restaurant they should learn how to perfect the recipe. I would never order any biryani from them from now. Such a slap on face for people who actually want to eat biryani but are served chili chicken mixed /topped with biryani rice. I am not sure if chef knows balance of spice or measurements etc. I can come and train you , you know!! lol! I have two starts as the girl behind the resturant counter was super nice( which is also a rare sight in this store). **Update as of 02/11/2024** They have gone through manor renovation and I would like to chnage my 2 star rsting to 4 stars. Great place for hanging out with family with great food. I am deducting 1 star for ambiance.. cleanliness of seating area. Table and chairs needs to be wiped frequently than they actually are.
