Hunter Steakhouse - Oceanside

Unfortunately it took me a long time to get there, But that does not have to do with the restaurant but me living far away, Anyway, Food: Yummy, Atmosphere: Great, Service: I know met most of the waiters, I am not just saying that because my cousin is a waiter there, I honestly don't know why everyone gives this 4 stars and I think that is incorrect. Dietary restrictions: I don't have dietary restrictions, but my grandpa does and he could have plenty of things. Parking: There is not a lot of parking but there is A fair amount of parking. Came here a while back. My boyfriend and his mom like to come here a lot and I had just gotten dental work done so didn’t want to eat anything that might be too tough or chewy. The salmon was amazing, the rice and bite I stole from my boyfriend’s teriyaki steak was good too. The mashed potatoes though, I highly recommended you never order them. Maybe mine were a fluke but I don’t think I’d ever want to take the risk of trying again.

First time here. Was very pleased they took us in quickly on a Friday night. Directions to the location was a bit challenging it’s on the corner right near the freeway. Steaks were really good. Cooked just like we asked. Ribs were okay. Salads were fresh. A little disappointed on our appetizer with potato skins, calamari and crab stuffed mushrooms. The mushroom’s were cold. Claim chowder soup was okay. Not the best. Had to ask the waitress for fresh bread, they didn’t bring it out to our table. However, she was on top of everything else. Cheesecake and mudd pie desserts were really good and portions were excellent.

This place never disappoints. Great steak, great service, good selection of wine, nice atmosphere. Parking at times can get a bit busy. You can park next door where the bicycle shop used to be. Really good place for Valentine's special which includes shrimp appetizer,dinner, soup of the day or salad, and desert for a good price.

The atmosphere is old-school nice vibe. Our waiter was really cool and took very good care of our family. The food was really good. We will be back because of the service

Honestly the least seasoned food we’ve had in a while. No salt or flavor in our steaks or sides. Also we both ordered medium rare steaks and my husbands was rare and mine was medium/well done in parts. I guess if going to steakhouse I expect the steaks to at least be cooked right.

Best steak I ever had!

Best experience ever for my wife and i, the ambience was perfect setting, the service was amazing starting with the host who got us seated right away, our server Dylan was superb and made the night great for us, Thank you for the mud pie recommendation it was Delicious...well be back to try more great food and good times. My recommendation to yall make chicken fried steak itd be perfect with that whiskey peppercorn sauce.
