Went to go get a table was told that it was be 20 mins. Which was cool gave my name and number and was told I was get a text when our table was ready. Welp an hour passed no text but saw others go in and be seated before us. Now my only guess to this is because we were African American. The host was definitely not welcoming seeing us come in. But it’s cool we left and spent our money elsewhere.
Great food. Try the fish bites. Thank me later.
Having previously experienced the larger Hula’s over a decade ago, I was delighted to find that the smaller location in the heart of Old Town Scottsdale maintains the same captivating modern Tiki atmosphere. The airy and open ambiance sets the stage for an exceptional breakfast experience, complete with kid-friendly options. A standout feature is their brilliant breakfast Mai Tai, which ingeniously swaps out almond orgeat for banana, resulting in a smooth and delightful concoction. The Hawaiian French Toast proved equally satisfying, and the Tiki-themed decor strikes a perfect balance—evoking the spirit without veering into kitsch. The bar, adorned with an impressive collection of vintage Tiki and Polynesian mugs, trinkets, and glasses, feels like a captivating glass museum. For those exploring Old Town Scottsdale, a visit to Hula’s Modern Tiki is unequivocally worthwhile.
Such a neat little place! Awesome happy hour with delicious cocktails and appetizers.
Decent food. Great drinks.
Rude hostesses. Very rude
We really enjoyed this restaurant. Yummy island food with large portions and good music.
Kid-friendliness: It's not. Don't bring children to a tiki bar.
