Huang Pu River Restaurant

Tried out delivery for Valentine's Day. Shrimp deep fried in a cornstarch slurry. Ginger beef, so soggy and soaked in extremely sweet sauce. Sesame chicken in red sweet and sour sauce, looked nothing like the sauce in the Doordash menu photos, also extremely soggy. Egg rolls a whole lot of whatever. Rice was good.

I’ve gone here many times and have my ups and downs with this restaurant but today might be the last I ever come. I ordered the pan fried beef ho fan and as I was chewing on my beef I felt something sharp stab the top of my mouth, I didn’t think much of it until I kept chewing and realized it was something I shouldn’t be eating. I spit it out and find out i’m chewing on a piece of metal from a scrubber used to clean dishes . Im disgusted and won’t be returning.

Had great chicken Lo Mein and the biggest pieces of hot and sour veal at a Chinese restaurant ever. Great lunch delivered (:

The food is spectacular and full of flavor, plus they still provide generous portions unlike many other establishments.
