Houston's

Recently implemented a weird “no phone” policy that feels like we are in elementary school instead of grown adults. Have been tolerating it the past few weeks but the last straw came when I took an emergency call related to someone who had just passed away. I was actively trying to leave the crowded restaurant and was told TWICE that I needed to get off the phone. Extremely insensitive.

Excellent steak and salmon fish to eat. Excellent service as well.

I’m going to keep this short & sweet. You may read my full review of the “second” short-sighted incident by the manager Nick. In short, I was not by any means belligerent, I wasn’t even served a drink, I was trying to order food. When police got involved he lies to them when he was the aggressor toward me and my partner. I am dealing separately with Irvine PD on this matter. I’ve been a patron for two decades. This will trickle far down, I’m sure it won’t hurt Houston’s and that’s not my intention as all their employees have been fantastic. But a manger pacing upfront when I say calmly waiting for the police just to get in bed with the front girl staff - Houston’s, you can do better. And I repeat, not only was I not an aggressor just upset about being misunderstood, this Manager, gets within 2-3 inches of my face and lies his way out of the situation by lying to the PD. I’m not looking for a free meal. But threaten my tiny girlfriend on top of hurling threats toward me, let’s see how Houston's ownership handles this one. Not only is Nick a liar but also prejudiced. I’ve spent a lot of money here over the years but, these are my 2cents

This is my fave restaurant in all of OC.. every single everything is delicious. The service is the best. The atmosphere is top notch. Enough said…

Food is great. I had the burger with fries and it was great. Thai sushi roll was also great and very different. The service is great except for the hosts as they pretend they are fully booked. I went with my wife and they said there is only seats at the bar available. We sat at the bar but I checked their website and saw reservation slots booked the first one went back to the front told them and 5 min later sat down Parking: At the end if the plaza so has plenty if it’s own space in parking lot also across the street is a big free parking garage Kid-friendliness: They are not. No high chair. They allow kids but you will need your own high chair or booster seat

What can you say about Houston's, or You-stons in my east coast accent, this place is always Consistent. That is the name of the game. They are always Fast. Friendly. And the quality is ALWAYS The same. Aka. GREAT. As a regular of Houston's and all Hillstone company locations I can say this one is one of my favorites. The pretentious people that frequent this place are hilarious to watch, everyone thinks they are the most important person in the room. But hey, that's Irvine for you. Anways, the Veggie Burger, the French Dip, the Ahi salad, the Steaks... they are all done Just Right!!! And remember if you want food Fast and Consistent this is the place. Apps are always out within 5-10mins... entrees are out within 15 min... its crazy how they streamline their kitchen. Anways, if you're on the fence because you hear about the pretentious guests, just go and enjoy yourself and laugh at their insane behavior and Eat great food. Edit: I forgot the mention they have literally some of the Best Sushi you will ever have. The pressed sushi is sooo dang good!!!
