Hondos Shrimp & Fish

I ordered the 5 piece big Swai cornbread meal with Hushpuppies. I did not get what I ordered. The fosh was a red spicey voayimg and not golden froed cornmeal. Instead of 5 fillets I received half filettets and small curled up pieces. See pictures. This business is very hard to contact they do not answer the phone or emails. They use to be a good place to eat but not any more. Buyer beware.

Fast and Fresh, the shrimp with cornmeal seasoning was delicious ! ‍↔️ definitely returning.

So, I just recently moved to GA from NJ and every chance I get to try out a new restaurant, I take advantage of it. Today, March 20, 2024, I was leaving my salon and on the way home, I passed what I thought would be a phenomenal spot. I actually made a U turn and got there at 1:25 pm (the time on my receipt). I initially wanted the Orange Roughy; however, the nice lady at the counter told me it should not have been on the menu because they don't have it. It forced me to consider other options, so I got the whiting and shrimp combo battered. On my drive back home, the food smelled so good that I decided to eat one shrimp. The shrimp tasted like Clorox Bleach which now indicates that the shrimp is bad. I initially started to go back to the restaurant (which now in hindsight, I should have) but because I paid less than $20 I did not make a big deal of it. I figured, maybe it was just one shrimp. When I got home and ate the whiting, no issues there I was afraid to eat the remaining shrimp. I ate one, which appeared to be ok so then I continued. When I ate the next shrimp and even gave the other ones a try, they all were bad. These were the jumbo shrimp that had a fantastic appearance but I had to gag and spit out the rest and I threw the remainder out. I attempted to contact the restaurant; however, their phone does not get answered. It's just a voicemail. Then I went on their website to tell them and it brought up an error code. These shrimp were so bad that they need to be informed to throw them all out. It was the worst taste I ever experienced with seafood. YUKKKK. By the way, my receipt number was #15 and my total order came up to $15.98. I really thought I found a good seafood spot; but I will never go there again because you have to wonder about the rest of the food in that place. Sincerely, Sad/Disappointed

OVERALL IMMACULATE!! Just wow, please PLEASE treat yourself to this restaurant as soon as your nearest seafood kick, you will not be disappointed at all. I had been craving seafood for the last week, and none of the restaurants near me, could provide a decent, flavorful, or seasoned meal, and were quite pricey to give me basically nothing. Hondos has amazing AFFORDABLE pricing, and the amount of food they give you, as well as the quality, are next-level, and completely unbeatable. You get such a pristine level of flavors throughout every single dish, the cook is to absolute perfection, and you keep going in for seconds, which is why the amount they provide you with is so satisfying!! I ordered the Big Tilapia Sandwich with Hush Puppies and the Cilantro Lime Rice, and I am in heaven!! First off, they blessed me with 6 PIECES OF TILAPIA!!! All perfectly seasoned and the cornmeal was bursting with flavor, with the most amazing crunch. The Hush Puppies were baked with precision, and the ingredients were brilliant, so I had to stop myself from finishing them all within one sitting! Even the rice was IMMACULATE! I wasn't expecting to be so impressed with rice, as I usually go with fries for any side, but wanted to pick a healthier option today, and I am so overjoyed I did. The rice was cooked perfectly and I could actually taste the cilantro and lime, so everything was like a melody! This is my all-time favorite seafood spot now, and I cannot wait to be back! Also, for those that are big on atmosphere and cleanliness, the restaurant was so calming with the loveliest cool breeze; it smelled like the beach from the aroma of the food, but was not at all overpowering, and was actually quite pleasant. Additionally, the restaurant was cleaned thoroughly top to bottom, and it looked absolutely immaculate. The woman at the front was the kindest person with the most welcoming demeanor, so the customer service was also exceptional, and you immediately feel like you're at home. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND 100000/10!!
