Staying in a nearby lodge and booked here for Sunday dinner. We arrived for 14:00 and were able to choose our table. Staff were friendly and helpful. Food was delicious and the portion sizes were generous. The Sunday lunch menu was a standard choice of chicken, beef or pork. The garden overlooks Richmond and provides good views, unfortunately due to storm Kathleen it was too windy and chilly to sit outside.
They are an excellent venue for things like a christening with a good sized room and an enclosed garden. Service excellent, very helpful and delightful staff who can’t do enough for you. Food excellent. I would highly recommend this pub.
Food & drinks: The food was brilliant, unfortunately the experience was tainted by the ongoing loud, bigoted and transophobic conversation from the locals/regulars at the bar
If you’re looking for a base to explore this area of the country, then the Holly Hill Inn is a very good choice, the welcome, the staff, the food, the room and location were all excellent.
After a tour overseas we returned to Caterick in June 89 and we would ride our bike to Holly Hill inn for the Old Perculier - it was the best in the country back then. So this was a nostalgic return to a happy place. Owner let us camper van it in their car park. We awoke early to use the loos by the waterfall. No Theakstons but the ale was exquisite. Dart and TV was just the ticket. The pub emptied the lad behind the bar said stay as long as you like.
Canny little local pub. Good pint of Guinness.
Lovely staff and location, warm and welcoming bar and restaurant. The food was very filling, lots of it but it lacked seasoning and flavour. We had roast dinner and it all was overcooked. Family of 4 it was 75 for dinner and 4 drinks.
Excellent location to base yourself to explore Richmond & beyond. Lovely room & great breakfast.
