Cool Nepalese / indian spot with good variety and quality!

I had dinner at this restaurant while attending a conference in DC, the food does not reflect the value of the money paid. The food was bland and a poor representation of Indian Cuisine. The service was also subpar. My initial intention was to eat there every night during the conference, but I was terribly disappointed.

Great halal restaurant with tasty chicken biryani. I got their chicken biryani and vegetable pakora. The chicken biryani was a tasty. A solid 8.5/10. Lots of chicken and not dry. Biryani tasted superb. Highly recommend their biryani. The pakoras were okay not bad. Their staffs were super friendly and nice. Pretty spacious and clean restaurant.

Great Nepali food - lots of momos, thalis, khaaja set, and vegetarian options ! Kind and patient folks. Location is great if you are visiting White House area !

I dined at Himalayan Doko today, a charming Nepali restaurant, and had a wonderful experience. The meal included goat meat, potatoes with cauliflower, and a delicious soup. The flavors were well-balanced and not spicy at all. The prices were very reasonable, offering great value for the quality of food. Khambu was a great person, The service was exceptional little language barrier, but very attentive and friendly staff making the dining experience even more enjoyable. Overall, Himalayan Doko is a fantastic choice for anyone looking to enjoy authentic Nepali cuisine. Highly recommended!
