Good restaurants, delicious and good service
Service is slow but the place is small so I won’t complain too much.
Avoid this particular location at all costs. All the meat in our brisket noodle bowls was so tough (think shoe-leather level) and overwhelmingly fatty it was completely inedible.
We’ve been to several other Hey Noodle locations and they’ve been great, however, this one seems to be an exception. Even though I mentioned to have less fat in my food, the biggest portion of it was fat and the little amount of meat was extremely hard and inedible. We also ordered the Okra Szechwan Spicy which was very bitter and we had to avoid it. Very disappointing
Edit: Came back again and ordered the beef brisket with tomato soup. Again it’s pretty disappointing - paid $18 bucks and HALF of my meat is just hard meatless tenderloin (see attached photos). $18 bucks for less than 10 grams of real brisket is just unacceptable. I spoke to the server about the tiny portion of real brisket I got and he also checked it using the spoon. His reply was “I think they gave you half and half” - half real brisket and half non-edible fat/tenderloin?? That alone sounded so sketchy and now the serve said so it sounds like it’s an internal policy to give customers less legitimate meat unless they push back. The whole experience is just absurd. They changed their waiters however there is still minimal service, had to wave at the waiter to get our water and chopsticks (it was not busy, Sunday afternoon around 5-6pm). Very disappointing given the previous complaint (more than half a year ago) and still no improvements in the food and service, while upping the prices. Will never come back again. Original review: Food: average. The meat is very hard to tear and not fresh. Disappointing given the price point. Also they give you a few slices of meat which doesn’t live up to the price. Service: no service at all. You order by QR code. No one greets you and checks up on your food. You pour your own water, use your phone to look at the menu and order, and you need to go outside to the cashier to pay while standing. We didn’t tip because of this, and the old woman has the audacity to ask for a tip. Are you serious? From entering to paying, she did not say a single word. The only thing she did was to put two bowls of noodles on our table. That’s it. That is not service. I complained on their website but no one has ever gotten back to me. Atmosphere: This place is cramped and very loud. Sometimes you even hear loud music from the gaming cafe next door. I wonder why they won’t do anything about it as it’s so loud that we needed to yell to hear others (when the bass is on). There’s barely any space between tables, elbow to elbow, they fit as many tables as they could and it’s even worse than Square One food courts.
The place is pretty chill, food was so good i went into a food coma for 11 hours.
The noodles are delicious and the drinks are great. I got the spicy and it was VERY spicy so I will go with mild next time. The portions are very generous and filling if you are hungry. I would highly recommend and am looking forward to going back.
Food is good but billing practices are not so much. When I ordered online, on checkout, there was no service fee but on pick-up it was added.
