Placed an order to be picked up at 11am. Got there to pick up at exactly 11, said they were behind to give them 5-10 minutes, understandable. It is now 12pm, still no cake. Keep asking them what’s going on. Come to find out, the started decorating a DIFFERENT cake. They have to start all over again.

The cake tasted good...that's it! Talked on the phone with the decoator & was assured it would be to my specifications. Totally wrong! Was supposed to be cream colored vanilla frosting with touches of sparkly gold on edges. Black beading on edges & edible sheet that said "celebrate" with gold stars. It was to have the message in thin black letters. The whole top of the cake looked brown. It looked like they sprayed it with a dull metallic gold. The black beading on the top were just swirls with a dot in between the edible sheet just looked like it was just layed on top, not even blended on the edges. Just took white frosting and framed it. The "Celebrate" was not black, more like a greenish blue & stars were yellow. Nothing matched the gold/black theme, so the candles & extra decoration I bought looked stupid. Also one side of the cake was lower. Obviously just been done, so no time yet in fridge. Very hot day & even though restaurant wasn't far, cake was starting to sag. When put candles & decoations on, began failing off quickly. Also was supposed to have a vanilla cake with lemon filling. Got lemon cake, no filling. Not worth the money!

I love HEB bakery’s but I’m sorry to say they need a new cake decorator! I asked her to put “were so proud of you” and it looks like a 2 year old did it.
