Haworth Old Hall

Very welcoming and friendly staff, had a couple of meals there whilst staying in Haworth and it was very nice and the service was quick not to long to wait for your food. It has two log burning fires which makes it quite warm and comfy, would definitely visit there again for a drink and a meal.

Great food. Excellent service and lovely atmosphere.

The bar was busy but staff struggled to control order of service, the English obliging nature often takes a break during the need for alcohol . The food was bland, basic and served as fine dining portions, it was not fine dining. The pudding was very good in all honesty. Service was key for me, everyone was nice but lacking attention and care, forgetting things, dropping food off the plate at one point, apologising but not either swapping or bringing out further replacement. My grandmother ordered scampi, at least 4 pieces fell on the floor, apology given, then nothing, no replacement, no picking the scampi up off the floor . A rare sunny day at this time so maybe unexpectedly busy. A nice place and only leaving this review as a reminder to be on your game always, please don’t take for granted that just because you have the location and probably guaranteed footfall that you can drop your standards. We had guests from America, they were polite and said nothing but not sure what message they will pass on. Wishing everyone the best and we will be back, I’m sure, to note this was just a blip. I went to Haworth Old Hall for my birthday. Lovely meal and very friendly, efficient staff. The atmosphere was really nice, and welcoming.

No crackling on roast. After asking they got us some but no apology. Forgot peppercorn sauce my partner ordered for us steak. Eventually 10 minutes later after asking for it it came. No apology from any staff. Childrens garlic bread that came with mac and cheese was rock hard. Nobody asked if meals was fine where we noticed they asked table next to us. Very disappointed
