Hatch Family Chocolates

This was our first time ever here. My wife got a KARMEL MALONE, that was dynamite, and the chocolate covered cinnamon bears, dark or milk, are the BEST I've ever had, including those from the Y. Better atmosphere and more personable than other chocolatiers, Will DEFINITELY return. Parking: Easy to find parking to the west of the building. Kid-friendliness: The warm personability and happy attitudes of the staff was amazing. Wheelchair accessibility: Extremely easy wheelchair accessibility.

So far the best hot chocolate I had in Utah. It’s a nice place up the hill with cool ambiance and friendly staff. Their hot chocolate is very rich in taste and creamy in texture, gonna visit soon to try out their chocolates and other items on their menu.

We only tried the hot chocolate, but it was amazing! It was $7.75 for a little cup, which was a bit pricy, but it definitely was delicious. You can add flavors for $0.55, so we added the salted Carmel and it was delicious. There was lots of other stuff there (chocolate covered/cameled apples, chocolate dipped bananas, ice cream, chocolates, cookies, etc) so we might have to go back and try more things!

Excellent hot chocolate drinks, poor service of late. I've loved this shop for years. The paintings add to the quirky ambiance and are worth making a trip just to see, but the hot chocolate drinks are what you can't miss. Whenever I have visitors, I always take them here and buy them each a hot chocolate. After years of always getting the dark hot chocolate, I tried the Choco's mocha, their amazing hot chocolate paired with espresso. It is somehow greater than its parts and it has become my default. I had given up on mochas but this one is special. At their best, they are still the best. It's been a while since I've experienced that though. Recent visits have been met with inept service and poorly thrown together drinks. I hope they can recover from this recent dip in staff quality. It's still probably worth the trip, but be aware of the inexperienced staff.

I’m not a huge fan of the chocolates or ice cream, but the hot fudge, frozen hot chocolate, and chocolate pudding are wonderful. Absolutely wonderful. The atmosphere is fun, too, especially if you want to grab dessert with friends.

I was standing at the register for 10 mins waiting to checkout while staff members looked at me and proceeded to ignore me standing there. I quite literally had to assert myself to checkout because they were allowing others to checkout in front of me even though I had been waiting at the register longer. This was an extremely uncomfortable experience.
