The customer service at the pizza oven area is phenomenal. Not only was it too late to pick up, but they then took the time to make a new pie for me. The pizza is a deal and pretty tasty for "grocery store" pizza. Great for Friday, family pizza night.

I love this store Employees are very friendly and Helpful and they are well stocked.

Temperature control for food safety is poor. Frozen foods are sometimes thawed and refrozen. Expired chicken on the meat wall. Chicken that is in date sometimes looks off color and has ballooned up plastic wrap. Produce is very hit or miss. The wet wall is not set up properly, so things like squash (why this is in a wet wall anyway is beyond me) and green onions sit in pools of water and rot. They are often out of common things like onions and potatoes, among many others. Very poor customer service, there really isn't any. 10 self checkouts (usually a few are down) and at most, even during the busiest times where the line to check out runs all the way to the back of the store, they have 2 registers open. The front end and self check out workers are rude, bark orders at you like you work there, and expect you to deal because they don't care at all about the customer experience and seem to hate working there. The store manager should be replaced, and the company should understand they need to do better and hire people to check out their customers.

This is the closest grocery store to me and I’d love to be able to shop there without having my bags checked like I’m going through TSA when I leave. Even when security can clearly see who is paying and leaving the checkout area. No other grocery stores in NoMa make you form a line to check your receipt. Surely they can think of a better solution to theft that doesn’t involve treating all their customers like criminals.

Store is well-stocked, but the front-end experience is abysmal. Always long lines with cashiers who seem annoyed at your existence. Have to show your receipt to a kid sitting on a cooler who grunts at you before you leave. Have heard their security guards yelling slurs at people on the street. Maybe the incessant high-pitched ringing in the store is making them all miserable.

Cashiers slow and unfriendly. Overall, uncomfortable atmosphere. Surprising for a place like this.
