Visited my long time favorite (since 1985) Bratskellar about 3 weeks ago & got a roast beef sub. SUPER disappointed as the tiny amount of roast beef was all fat & stringy...horrible! So I remembered Hap's from years ago. I’ve been eating at Haps off & on since 2004 but not for the past 6 years or so. Haven’t been down this way in the last few years because we moved farther north and just don’t drive down that way much anymore. Got the large roast beef sub w/mayo & pickles. Fantastic!!! Rare beef piled high and the pickles are diced dill...heaven! Haven't been able to find this combo since IGail's Galley in Kingston N H way back around 1970 when I was 16. Glad to see Hap's still makes first class roast beef sandwiches. The absolute BEST I've had in 50 years! Keep it up, I’ll make sure I put an effort in to get over there more often! Five stars plus!!

Best Northshore beef I've had north of the Northshore. 3 way "super duper" beef rivaled 110 in size and taste. I will be going back!

Great service, generous portions, and fantastic prices on roast beef. The roast beef was perfectly cooked to my taste. My only critique is that the onion roll detracted from the sandwich due to the burnt onions, overpowering the overall flavor with an acrid taste. Once that was set aside, it turned out to be a satisfying sandwich.

Oh My God!!!!! The food is soooo good! And Beverly is awesome! She took excellent care of us since it was our first time and we were lost with the amazing menu!

I’ve been coming to Haps’ since 2004 or 2005. I always make sure to stop when I’m passing by. In the past few weeks I’ve had North Shore style roast beefs at Miller’s in Providence, Glen’s Roast Beef in Revere, and Haps. Haps blew them all out of the water. Roast beef was cooked perfectly and they have by far the best BBQ sauce. Also, best price!

Relatively new owners are doing an excellent job. The food is great and the portions are huge. I was happy to see they do breakfast now on select days. Great overall value

I have been visiting the Seacoast for about ten years bc boo's mom lives in Dover. I've been reading about the local roast beef sandwich for years but this was my first time trying one. It was great and I couldn't even taste the mayo which was my major concern. Restaurant was clean and service was very friendly. Located outside the water park. Parking: Free lot. Kid-friendliness: Very.

I haven't been in a long time, however I probably think about having a sandwich from here more than is normal. Unfortunately I live in Texas now so it's just not possible. When you still talk about a place years after you are it, I think it's good. Eat here you won't regret it.
