Cashless business. Do they hate freedom and privacy?
Party of 4, seated right away without a dinner reservation. Note: I arrived with heightened expectations because Guerrilla Burger came highly recommended by family. I ordered the "Kung Fu" burger which is more Korean influenced (on account of the kimchi) than Chinese fusion. If the name doesn't offend you, the burger might. The crunchy plantains lacked flavour. The top bun was cold. The bottom bun had hints of char. Does anyone wonder about the lack of traditional sides? French fries, sweet potato fries, onion rings? No one?
Above average vegan food. Full menu & options!
I ordered a Big Poppa's OG burger. It took around 10-15 mins to be ready, but sure enough, it was worth the wait. The dining area is behind the menu and looked very pleasing to the eye. The Burger was served inside a disposable food tray, with paper food wraps. The O.G burger was wonderful and it isn't a burger you would eat regularly, as it was made with a vegan patty. But I must admit, inside the Burger, one ingredient compliments another and so on. Not to mention, I thank the one employee who was a cash register, chef, and waitress. Lastly, this is a restaurant I would like to share to my colleagues and family, and one to dine in again.
Being an amalgamation of three different restaurants in one place is the issue. When I got in there we’re two people in front of me ordering from the Eva Chimney menu, and one worker behind the counter. I ordered two burgers, and was told it would take 15 minutes. I stepped outside and came back 20 min later. When i went to the counter, the worker was putting together multiple cones and didn’t look up once to acknowledge me. After 15 minutes when I finally got her attention to say i was here for my order, she looked befuddled and had clearly forgotten that there was a burger order. 15 more minutes later, the burgers came out. The jerk burger was a great topping combo, but waiting 50 minutes for 2 burgers is crazy and unfortunately we won’t be going back.
WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE , amazing food tho. The people that work there are so uninterested it made me mad. Like it took us 30 min to place an order with only two customers in front of us. The workers saw a crazy line up and 2 out of 3 people just STOOD. Like did NOTHING WHEN THERW IS 10 PEOPLE WAITING. 0 stars
I went to this restaurant looking for a burger, as the name of the restaurant is "Guerilla Burger", but they don't have a single burger, and absolutely no meat on the menu, only soy. They should re-name this place Soybean Palace or Vegan Palace.
I had to leave a review for the amazing customer service I received on June 24th, 2022 from the Port Credit location manager and the store staff (I believe the one serving us was Paula)!! I mistakenly placed a pickup order for the downtown Toronto Guerilla Burger restaurant while we were en route to the Port Credit location. I realized this only after receiving order confirmation text message. After futile attempts at trying to cancel the downtown Toronto order (not open til later), getting the credit card company to cancel/stop the payment (transaction already charged), seeing the hangry glances from my friend, and having minimal expectations, I walked into the Port Credit restaurant. I explained the situation to Paula--who was so patient while listening to me and said that the store manager might be able to look into it. The manager I spoke with on the phone (I think Karen might be her name?) not only quickly resolved the situation, she was so kind and understanding. I had asked her how I can put in a good word for her and her staff, and she said it wasn't necessary and that they are just happy for us to enjoy their food. Truly phenomenal customer service!! Not only did the food exceed our expectations, so did the staff. Repeat customer for sure! The jerk burger is super delicious, by the way...do give it a try! Compliments to the chef as well. Thank you so much!
