Only words are “this is the place”. So good.
Amazing smooth flavorful hot coffee & iced tea by supplier JAVA JEFF'S (not bitter or over strong like some chain's). A tad pricey but worth it, good food and staff.
What a great spot for authentic New York style bagels and sandwiches. I had the lox bagel with the works and spicy deviled eggs. All bagels are made fresh daily and this one was great. Salmon was piled high and also very fresh and tasty. One of the best lox bagels I’ve ever had. The place was clean and unassuming. Bruce, the owner, was extremely friendly and welcoming as soon as we walked in. He could tell it was our first time and he made us feel like we have been friends for years.
‘NY’ bagels microwaves a bacon egg and cheese? Not for the price being paid.
We have previously gotten plain gluten free bagels here, which were great! We ordered plain gluten free bagels for pickup two weeks ago, and upon pickup today we’re told they are out of plain gluten free bagels. They gave us cinnamon raisin instead, frozen, and still in the original bag from Sami’s Bakery. I don’t expect anyone to make GF bagels in house, but I do expect the bagels sold as GF to not contain gluten. The bag clearly says “Contains: WHEAT.” Greenfield’s refunded us and apologized, but had no explanation for why the bagels sold as gluten free were not actually free of gluten. Is Greenfield’s selling these bagels assuming they’re gluten free because they are labeled as “Millet and Flax?” Sami’s Bakery makes gluten free plain bagels, but the cinnamon raisin bagels are in a different section of their website.
Anthony did a great job with a catering order and going the extra mile.
Best bagels in Greensboro, hands down. Other perks: delicious matzoh ball soup and warm, friendly staff
