The most authentic. Fresh delicious correct greek food i have tasted ourside of Greece.. Parking: Impossible
Low quality meat and food in general!
I had such a frustrating experience here when I visited today. I understand the Georgetown area attracts many tourists and gets busy on weekends. Still, the lack of even basic amenities like drinks and dirty surroundings made it unbearable. The staff seemed utterly clueless about the food they were selling, offering no explanations even when asked, and their communication could have been better. It felt like the staff received zero training. Despite the menu stating that a salad costs $16, I paid $21 plus tax. The overpriced food consisted of a small portion of lettuce, a few dry chickpeas, and some dressing, while the pre-cut lamb was so tough it was barely edible. To top it off, when I asked for a handful of onion slices(which looked like pickled but just plain onion with some green herbs)from the staff, they demanded an extra $2.00 plus tax, which would be accessible at a cava. As someone who has witnessed this location change ownership three times already, it's uncertain what the future holds. Can this business sustain itself by catering to tourists or one-time visitors based solely on the marketing hype of the newly opened establishment? Or is there potential for a real change in service?
I first had Greco at work and I’ve been coming back ever since. I have had their halloumi and chicken plates abt they were both fire. The spicy feta is sooooo good. Also, I don’t remember her name but the FOH/cashier that was there today was so helpful and and kind.
Very excellent food and extremely friendly staff! My 11 year old daughter was a little skeptical of everything, but it turned out to be her favorite meal in DC!
I walked in and was immediately met with a big smile and kind hello by the staff member behind the counter. He let me take my time looking, asked if I was ready, and helped guide me along easily as I picked my options, since I had clearly never been before. I got a chicken plate with tzatziki, onions and tomatoes, and fries. WOW, this did not disappoint, and a fantastic serving. Really excited to have this Greek-fast food option in DC, I feel like that’s lacking and this really fills that spot!!
The Best Greek Gyro in DC!
Great vibe but food isn’t good. Hopefully they pull it together. Super overpriced. 35.75 for two pitas and 2 waters. Before tip! Tiny stale pita and cold small portion chicken and lamb. Should serve with a side of fresh hot fries rather than put a few cold ones on the sandwich. Maybe it’ll get better but with so many other options in Georgetown no need to go back.
It is in a good location, a very clean place, and has friendly staff but the food was not tasty. Meat and rice were not good, the only tasty thing was their tzatziki. Also, it is similar to Cava and Roti restaurants, not Greek ones. It was a good experience to try it but will not visit again.
