Haven't ordered here in a while and now i remember why. Ordered deviled eggs/wings/ and the 3 meat plate dinner and it was not worth it. Asked for garlic parm and the burnin bourbon bbq on the side for the wings and only got garlic parm. and there was no sauce for the meat plate. I got the brisket/chicken/pulled pork (ran out of sausage at 6pm) and everything was so flavorless and dry. Including the wings (wished i had sauce to help it out) Even the deviled egg was dry..like it has been sitting out or something. The only thing that had flavor was the coleslaw and corn bread. Def not worth the $50.
Don't go to brunch, it's so overpriced for frozen Gordon food. It's a hungover persons dream, but there's no smoked meats of their own on it. It's good vibes in the building but the workers just hung around and talked to each other. The service is always slow super slow.
I had heard good things about this place from before they moved to Holt but I’ve tried them 3 times since then and every time I’ve been disappointed. The meat was really good the first time I went (tried the brisket) but the sides sucked. The baked beans were firm, like the beans weren’t cooked all the way through. The last two times I went the meat has been on the drier side and the other day they didn’t include the bbq sauce and it was just a sad unappealing plate of dry, overcooked brisket. I’ve always done take out and every time the service has been super slow, even when calling ahead, like a 20+minute wait after delaying arrival to factor in cook time. None of the staff seem to fully know what’s going on each time I’ve been and just seem overwhelmed and flustered even when there’s only a handful of customers there. Feel like this has a lot of potential but they just aren’t meeting it. I definitely won’t be returning again.
Went with our grandchildren and the whole restaurant smelled like pot. The customers were very foul mouthed. Not a family environment. Food was mediocre at best
Loud noisy bar. Nothing to dampen the background noise. When we ordered appetizers the waitress asked for our entree order. I explained she could wait but I didn't want our tiny table loadeded with dishes getting cold. No worries said the waitress, I'll put them into the system separate. Ha! All the food came at once. Just what we didn't want. I left a gift card on the table and left. Won't be back.
We've catered from Gravity twice and will continue to do so. Excellent food and timely delivery and setup. Our guests are happy when they see I'm feeding them Gravity. I'm a BBQ snob who spent most of my life in Central Texas and you will not find better smoked chicken than Gravity's.
