Grassroots Kitchen & Tap - Scottsdale

This is definitely our favorite place in Scottsdale!!! Everything is delicious. Conner is our server frequently and is awesome.

Love this place. Pretty busy even on a Monday night. Great atmosphere! Will go back.

Thank you, Tanaya, for your attentive service! The salad was refreshing. The burger was cooked to the correct temp. However, it was definitely not the best tasting, unfortunately.

This is not a sports bar though they serve cocktails and beer and have TV's, it's not a counter at Thrifty Drug though they have a sizable counter, it's not gourmet dining but their dishes are interesting and tasty and it is not fast food but you don't have to wait too long. Then what is it? My take is....it's all of the above at a very pricey cost in a popular McCormick Ranch location. We ate here on a Sunday at the counter, we were seated immediately. They have chairs, not mounted stools, but the chairs are close promoting chat with your new neighbor, generally starting with "Excuse me, so sorry." There are also a few booths that can fit families, but no kids were there that I saw, and there are a dozen or so 4-top tables along an expanse of window to Hayden Road...nice. I had a chicken salad and it waaass tasty! My partner had shrimp and grits, goodly sized. The grits were upgraded with jalapeño peppers. We skipped the alcohol. Our bill was north of $55 with tip. I would go here again for a quick decent lunch if I was in the area, but it would probably not be a destination restaurant I would drive far for. All tolled you will not leave disappointed.

We had a large party here and very much enjoyed the dinner! Servers could be a little nicer but food is great.

Everyone from the servers to the hostess was strongly present, attentive, and caring. It was nice to see the staff really helping each other out. My server Robert was fantastic and had suggested the toffee brownie dessert which was way better than I had anticipated. Unfortunately I never got to have interaction with a manager, but I look forward to it on my next visit.
