Grange Farm Lowton

We stumbled across this when looking for a farm shop on maps. It does have a small shop with plants, gifts and food but that is not the main thing here. First of all there is a large barn that is used for social events. You can see pictures of the barn on the website and it's a great space. Unfortunately we didn't get the chance to get some pictures ourselves. Both of these facilities however cannot compete with the main event here, and that's the cafe/restaurant. It's called The Barn and it's excellent which is probably why you should book for lunch or afternoon tea. We went for breakfast on a weekday so we were able to be seated. Weekend may be different. Split on two levels it's has great space. You need to wait to be seated but the service was quick and very friendly and polite. We were seated upstairs but that didn't slow the service. The full English breakfast is amazing. The quality and taste of fresh locally sourced produce can't be emphasised enough. It's more expensive than some but so worth it. It was also enough to keep us going all day. The whole experience was great. A visit to the shop on our way out gave us some fresh produce to take home as well. The road in is very bumpy but there is ample parking on site. The quality of the food here makes it a serious competitor to other food establishments in it's locality. A big thank you to the owners and staff for breakfast and congratulations on what you have achieved here.

we was unsure at 1st. other people told us there views. but sunday lunch was delicious.

Left stood nearly 10 minutes to sit, dismissed by 3 member of staff that walked past us. Only to be finally told that they had stopped seating 'now' - we were stood waiting prior to 11:30. - website states this is cut off time. Staff very dismissive. I have reviewed this comment after a reply - no one was on the greeting stand, someone called and said they would come over a did not. This confirms other similar reviews.

We had a lovely Mother’s Day meal at the barn grange farm Lowton. We each had 3 courses, good portion sizes and all was delicious plus a free glass of bubbly for the Mums which was a lovely touch. Lovely, helpful staff.

I came here for breakfast. I loved my food, drinks the customer service and the shop too. I would definitely recommend you to visit

Good service, nice surroundings and tasty food

I’ve visited twice now and will not be returning. First time I met my friend with her little one (& mine), upon entering the manager said ‘we’re shutting at 3 today’, in the sternest of tones. Visited again today with my mum, checked the closing time, states 4pm. Arrived at 2:35, greeted with the same rude welcome from the manager. The website may as well state 3pm if you really dislike people arriving later in the afternoon. It’s just uncomfortable and rushed. Another customer also commented on her rudeness and that she felt rushed. Will stick with Bents in future. The only plus side was the lady serving was very polite and understanding. She should have a promotion to manager as she had the appropriate customer service skills for the job. The lady in the farm shop is also lovely ☺️

Terrible front desk service! The tearoom was less than half full with only 2 hours left for the day and they turn away 8 people because we only wanted drinks and cakes! Only serve dining on a Sunday apparently! Really need to rethink their business plan

Another fabulous lunch and superb service once again today. This place can’t be beaten for good home cooked local food.
