A must if you are a traveler who loves value. We stayed at the Grand Hyatt Kauai with points and opted to book the room that came with Grand Club access. I believe you can upgrade access for a nominal fee or 3,000 points a night. The daily breakfast is actually quite nice. Quality staple ingredients with rotating hot items. There was also juice and coffee machines available all day. The all day snacks consisted of fruit, chips, cookies and small sweet trays during the day. Access to chilled cans of soda anytime of the day was great. The evening hors d’oeuvres were great. There was bread, cheese, veggies, fruit, salad, miso soup and rotating hot dishes. With many guests traveling with young kids, I wouldn’t put it past anyone to turn these evening snacks into a meal as needed. There is also an honor bar for beer ($5), wine ($5), and cocktails ($7) where you note your name and room number from 5-7 pm. The dessert was also nice but didn’t find it 100% necessary if you were dining elsewhere for dinner. The one downside is that most of the upgraded rooms are in the Poipu wing with the temporary location of the Grand Club now be located by the pool, so a 7-10 minute walk from our room. You get a waterproof wristband that scans to open the door to the club. Overall, definitely would recommend upgrading or using status for. Staff was fantastic as well.
Pretty nice food here. The club offers continental breakfast, evening hors d'oeuvres (salad, fruits, bread, and rotating hot items), and late night desserts. There are also fridges where you can grab bottled water or soft drinks from, as well as coffee machines. Also, the staff here was really friendly and the service was great.
