Pulled pork tiene buen sabor, el lugar es amplio y limpio 👍🏽! Tienes que preguntar por la torta de Tri-tip esta al 💯
We've been eating at Goodland BBQ since they opened. The quality has consistently elevated over time.
They excel with the plates, especially the brisket, which is fork tender with a very nice smoky flavor. It deserves to be eaten on its own without a sandwich. The pulled pork is very good as well. I like the addition of the honey mustard sauce which is a good match for the pulled pork.
The sides are fine, potato salad and chili beans are good. As a native Southerner, I like greens and mac n' cheese with barbecue but you rarely find that in California barbecue places, so no knock there. Nice to have iced tea, which I believe is a new addition.
I recommend skipping the sandwich and upgrading to a plate. The brisket and pulled pork are among the best I've had in California in my 12 years of living here.
I haven’t tried this place in awhile , not much has changed, the bbq chicken tasted like the grill, I think the grill needs to be cleaned. the hot dog and bacon was not done all the way. Also got a hot link that tasted not done all the way either. Very disappointing
Some of the best brisket and macaroni and cheese I've had. I travel all over the country and this is legit. 👍🏼🔥🔥
The service is always fast and friendly which is perfect for a quick lunch alone or with friends. They have good portions of delicious foods at a good price.
Big fan! I highly recommend pulled pork sliders & brisket sandwich! So fire
Give it a try
Third times a getting better. When they first opened it was really rough(overcooked/dry) but we took a flyer coming back here and they were better this time around. The Brisket is pretty good and pleasantly surprised, you aren't going to find it anywhere else in town. The Mac & Cheese was below average, needs texture and definitely isn't "smoked". Fries were fine, but nothing special. I think that they need to cut the menu in half and laser focus on knocking what they offer out of the park.
Buen bbq en goleta, pasamos casualidad, se nos hizo un poco caro , pero estaba rico, nada fancy .
Delicious
I had beef ribs. Would order again and again .
I had the half rack of ribs and the pulled pork sandwich and they were great. Loved the sandwich
Solid BBQ in a town devoid of such things. The brisket was tender and lightly smoked as were the beef ribs. The sweet BBQ sticky chicken was delicious. The pulled pork was tangy and flavorful. I'm a fan of their meaty cowboy beans as well. The interior is humble but spacious.
Always get good food and service here!
Food:
- I ordered a Brisket Plate which came with garlic bread and some sides.
- The garlic bread was room temp and a little stale.
- The macaroni salad tasted like nothing but black olives.
- The beans were okay, but needed salt.
- I only got 1 slice of brisket and it was SUPER dry. It tasted like it was overcooked the previous day and then reheated to order the next day. No juices whatsoever, just dry and tough.
- I also ordered a Tri-Tip Dip Sandwich. The fries didn't taste fresh and the jus (dipping juice) was missing AGAIN for the second time.
Service:
- When I called to talk to someone about the missing jus, I was put on hold for 20 minutes.
- When someone finally answered, they claimed the Tri-Tip Dip Sandwich wasn't on their receipt, so they couldn't do anything. How convenient, it was listed on my paper receipt.
Underwhelming food, awful service.
The meat was on the dry side. The macaroni salad had a strong taste of olives (that was all I could taste). I was charged $2 extra for regular fries. I didn't notice until after leaving the restaurant. That's the first time I've ever had to pay extra for "regular style" fries. The amount was the equivalent of a small size order at any fast food joint. It was a disappointment eating here. We were on a mini vaca and drove from O.C. and it was our "one" expensive meal of the trip. It was not worth the $50 bill.
