THE GINO’S STORY Gino’s Prime and Surf is still the restaurant of choice for those wanting that true “Chicago” steakhouse experience in Northwest Indiana. Originally owned and operated by the Massignani family from 1950 to 1995, Gino’s continues the traditions that propelled this family-owned steakhouse to success in the Chicagoland area. Tom and Dean Frangos purchased the rights to the Gino’s name and recipes in 2004, and are dedicated to maintaining the Gino’s tradition while evolving to appeal to the rising expectations of Northwest Indiana patrons. Headed by our Executive Chef, Jose Vasquez, and his culinary team, Gino’s continues to serve the decades-loved classic recipes.
