Gingerbread Haus Bakery

In this bakery, the staff greeted us with a pleasant smile, i like it. I tried rum balls and bread for the first time, and your baking reminded me of home. It was very tasty, like I was back in my childhood. Thank you for that, I will definitely come back ❤️

I have never eaten eclairs made with whipped cream (or a similar cream) in my life, this was the first time, it was not good at all. I guess the chocolate on the eclairs wasn't chocolate either. Since the price was not cheap, I thought to myself what mistake I made to eat this. I don't plan on trying any other products but still thank you for the friendly service.

I'm a mom whose never missed my son's Birthday and him being so far away studying at Dalhousie makes it expensive to fly in. I have ordered a cheesecake every year from the gingerbread Haus Bakery. Son was so happy when it was delivered he says it reminds him of mine. You see I'm a chef/baker so that ment a lot when he said it was like mine because with the Help of this bakery I was able to give my son a piece of home for his Birthday. And I will do it again this year. Today is the first day I will go to the bakery I'm finally here with my son in Halifax I can't wait. Stay tuned I will post again.

Amazing German pastries and coffee. The Almond Ring is my go to treat. We love their Italian sourdough loaves.

We were visiting from Ontario and went to this place based on reviews. I'm actually surprised they have such good reviews. The baked goods were just OK and overpriced, but the worst part was the customer service. It is absolutely horrible, the people working here were so cold and unpleasant, they almost seemed to be annoyed by us being there. All three of us left this place, gave each other a look and we all had the same feeling about the service. I don't mind paying a premium, and you don't have to be super friendly, but I expect not to feel unwelcome. It was such an odd, off-putting experience.

Best bakery in Halifax! Great location, the staff is very friendly/helpful, and ALL of their baked goods (sweets and breads) are of high quality and taste amazing! I would recommend their sour dough breads and their almond rings! Absolutely fantastic! I just wish they had a bit of seating inside

Everything was soooo delicious! We tried apple strudel, nougat?(i cant begin to describe how delicious this was! It looked like a donut with hazelnut butter cream covered in chocolate on a cookie) and a chocolate brownie. My daughter wants me to pass along that the brownie was not stale and probably the best brownie shes ever had! Lol Service was great as well! The lady working was so friendly!

Amazing place. Would be better with seating inside. The viennese coffee is always good.
