Gilaneh Restaurant

The service and atmosphere is great. It’s a go-to for hanging out with friends over dinner and you can sit as long as you wish. Their fresh bread served with appetizers is five stars. Kebab dishes are mediocre, though. Kebabs are nothing you can’t find in other good Iranian restaurants in the city. The worst part of the dish is the rice, tastes like low quality basmati. I dropped one star for the undercooked stinky rice. About the portion of each dish, it is enough for one person. Overall, I think it’s overpriced if you only think of the food. I recommend this place for gatherings. I think the service and ambiance way overweighs the food quality.

I placed my order at 19:18 and it was delivered at 20:53. Cooking at home is way faster than odering food from Gilaneh. Updated review at 21:06 I called the restaurant, and as expected they put the blame on the uber driver in a rude manner. This has always been the case with Gilaneh, even when we dined in, they are LATE.

I ventured to Gilaneh on a bustling Saturday night sans reservation, presuming I could stroll in as I usually do. Accompanied by four guests, I found the establishment teeming with patrons. Initially dismayed by the news of being fully booked, I fretted over the impending embarrassment upon my guests' arrival. However, the gracious and efficient staff, particularly the lady in charge, swiftly came to our aid. Within moments, they managed to find us a table, averting any potential discomfort. Once settled, my experience at Gilaneh resumed its usual charm, with delectable cuisine, impeccable service, and an inviting ambiance. Without hesitation, I wholeheartedly endorse Gilaneh to fellow diners seeking a delightful culinary outing.

Today's dining experience left me utterly disappointed. Upon receiving the bill, I was shocked to find a 15% mandatory service fee imposed by the server. What baffled me further was that this fee was nowhere to be found on the bill. It's disheartening to see such a lack of transparency, depriving customers of the right to decide on gratuity. This coercive approach to tipping is both unethical and disrespectful, and I feel compelled to warn others about such deceptive practices. My advice: think twice before going to establishments that engage in such unfair tactics.

I was there, I ordered food with salad, when I got the salad was hair inside the salad, the waitress came with complete composure, she said do you want me to change the salad, even the quality of the food was not the same as before.
