Excellent food that stay pretty true to real Japanese cuisine at an excellent price! Menu isn’t lengthy but all items are done well and with pride. Seating is however quite limited and we were asked to stay out during a downpour for showing up 5min early…….plus waiter was wearing a cloth mask in 2024 so if that doesn’t explain the crowed I don’t know what will
This is definitely one of those trendy spots with bad, overpriced food. The food was not great; the ramen was edible but lacking flavor, the brussel sprouts were 90% leaf, and the salmon belly nigiri was so thinly sliced you can barely taste it over the stuff they put on top. This wouldn’t be so bad if the nigiri wasn’t $14 for 4 pieces. It also is not nearly as fatty and yum as other salmon belly I’ve had for similar prices. The atmosphere was bad and the metal chairs they use make the whole place stink of rust. The cushions on the booth seats were dirty as well. The service was subpar. The waiter was pretty unprofessional but not actively rude so whatever I guess. I think other ramen spots nearby have much better food for a similar if not cheaper price.
Great place, great food but....... mandatory 18% service charge added to the bill. You only find out about it when you get the bill...... First and last time here.
Hands down the best Ramen in the Charlotte area. I no longer live in Charlotte and I have not been able to find a good restaurant that serves good ramen since my expectations are high due to the wonderful flavor of this restaurant. Whenever I am in town i love to go here for good good. My only critique is that the restaurant is very small, which at times means you will wait for at least an hour for a seat depending how big your party is. Other than that, this is one of my favorite restaurants.
I am from Asia but ramen / food need to improve a lot. Too salty and not tasty at all. Service is excellent. Honestly I don't like food.
The food was very bland. The $1 ramen I get from the store has better flavor than what they served. My friends and I all got different ramen bowls and none of us enjoyed our meal. Definitely not worth the price. The music was really loud and the service wasn't really service. They also have an 18% service fee by default and my friend was guilt tripped into tipping extra by the waitress.
Came in after a bit of work with the family and this hit the spot on a cold day. The soup and broth was done extremely well and the ingredients in our Buta Bowl was stuffed! The portions were large enough to share as well for appetizers and the interior was comfortable enough for fit our group of four with room to spare. Highly recommended for your Ramen needs!
Food was ok. Serive was ok but 18% AUTOMACTIC TIP for 1 person not ok. I usually tip well but forced to tip well not appreciated
