Stopped by because of supercharger at the mall. The food was overpriced and low quality. Big portions but not very tasty. It seems like a popular place though which is surprising.
One of the best Mexican restaurants around !!!

I took my mother in law here to celebrate her birthday. She really loves mariachi band so I call the restrauant to confirm when the mariachi is there. They said they are there on Sunday during the brunch buffet so I made reservations off OpenTable. I parked at the underground parking near the Reagal Theater since it was raining. I checked in at our reservations and they seated us at a full booth per requested. The buffet style is basically you go get your own dish in the restaurant. The tacos and quesadillas are outside in the patio where there was only 2 cook. It's not the best layout where they put the sauce and the line to wait so they should modify that. The Carne quesadillas were my favorite. I also liked the Buffalo Wings, Carne asada tacos and waffle fries that they had as well. I tried their churros but it wasn't my favorite and I also tried their Flan. My mother in law enjoyed most of the food there as well but she liked more the mariachi band since they sang for her too. The customer service here is amazing today, they were attentive and fast with everything. The buffet price is pretty high but you're paying for the live music. Vegetarian options: They are some vegetarian food. Parking: You park in the structure parking and the restrauant validate for 2 hours. Kid-friendliness: This place is kid friendly and they have special price for kids for the buffet. Wheelchair accessibility: This place is wheelchair accessible.
Love their quesadillas and nachos!
So bad on so many levels. This whole mess started a few months ago when I called to ask some questions and the line went dead when I asked if the host (Irais) still did Margarita Mondays or happy hour. I thought they had a problem with the phone line (how naive), because the phone kept going dead. I eventually spoke to the manager, Jorge, in disbelief because I had to call over twenty times, he was super rude with me, but quickly changed his time when I explained the situation and the fact that she had continuously put the phone down on me. We still decided to come to the restaurant (they had dismissed the host for the night because of her behavior), and we'd missed happy hour because of the host's actions. I did complain to Adelmo Rivas, Luis Torres, and Vincent's Del Rio, and after my second email, and nearly two weeks passing, Adelmo reached out with an apology saying that they had fired the host, was giving the manager, Jorge, more training, and that they wanted to make it up to me... and that I should call a provided number anytime to arrange a return complimentary visit. Even though I was reticent to return, I eventually reached out to them via the number the had given me... The number was the general number of the Sherman Oaks restaurant. The host had no idea about what I was talking about (understandably), I asked to speak to a manager, the manager had no idea either, and had no advice as to what I should do. I reached out to the managers again... but no response. I emailed three times now. Still nothing. I honestly used to love coming to this restaurant, and would sit at the bar and chat with the barman, Jose, on a Monday night. It was always a relaxing place with great margaritas and the best taco plate. However, you clearly have defined what Frida Restaurant is to me this time.
The best service manager is great and the employees are very attentive
The food here is horrible. I came here when they first opened and now I remember why I never came back. I ordered the rib eye tacos which is supposed to be a decent quality meat but it was full of fat and impossible to eat. I tried my sister’s shrimp taco and it was extremely dry. I started feeling nauseous in the restaurant because the food was truly disgusting. I did bring it up to an our waitress and she apologized but that’s it. I woke up this morning with a stomach ache that hasn’t subsided since yesterday. I will never go back to this restaurant.
The food and service was not good. I would not recommend anybody to come and eat here. The food did not taste good. They serve very little and very expensive.
Food was great. I enjoyed it
