We will no longer be going anywhere else, but Frank's for cakes. They are the best we have ever had! I have been telling everyone I know about them.
Ok, let's say I'm walking down a dark alley in Bangor, the single streetlight flickers over a trashcan lid where I can see a single half-eaten pastry sitting on top. If that pastry has a Franks's napkin on it, heck, even near it, I'm taking the rest of it. The baked goods and pizza here are game changers. Do yourself a favor and runk, walk, scramble, flop, whatever your way down to Franks.
Overpriced. Not great food.
Like many establishments they are not what they were pre Covid . I have been three three times in the past year hoping things would improve. I have consistently bought expensive and old pastries which were sold as fresh . My recommendation is to Avoid the eclairs and cream horns which used to be the best in the area, but now are dried up husks. Biscuits are still yummy but too much money.
Absolutely Best Eclairs anywhere. I've tried many. 120 miles from home but worth it.
I tried their baked goods because I've heard so many people rave about them. They're okay, nothing I would go out of my way for. My kids weren't impressed with their traditional baked goods and as I've only ever had their gluten-free items, baked to order, I thought there is a whole lot of room for improvement. I'm going to stick to self-made.
Back at Frank's bake shop. Best bakery in maine. The molasses date stuffed cookies incredibly good. If ever in bangor, ME. Stop in there. It is just awesome. Great cheese pizza Parking: Parking in the front and on the side street.
