Let me start by reminding people this is in a truck stop it's supposed to be a truck stop diner. They have updated the iron skillet and changed the name lessened the menu put a bunch of stuff that truckers don't eat on the menu and jacked the prices up. I wasn't impressed. 10 out of 10 would not recommend. Don't get me wrong once they got the horse radish sauce off my burger it was good but it was $19.51 plus tip for a burger fries and tea. 10 out of 10 cannot afford on a working man's paycheck.
Ok.. first time in here since the rebranding to the new concept..holy crap the brightness...but i was still waking up...the food was excellent As a southern born boy im a stickler when it comes to my grits...these..thumbs up I had the chicken fried steak n eggs n it was yummmm Good tea too
We got the salmon and the whitefish, both delicious! Vegetarian options: Not a lot of options for vegetarians who can't eat dairy.
The breakfast burrito over price here
I ordered the chipotle chicken and my wife ordered chicken quesadilla. Hers was fine. Mine was the worst meal I have ever partially eaten at a restaurant, and I am 70 years old and have experienced a lot of bad restaurants. The restaurant here was not bad, but the food was beyond bad. It was mostly a plate full of velveeta cheese with a little chopped vegetables, a little diced chicken and a little macaroni. It had way too much American cheese. I ate about 2/3 of it and stopped, even though I was hungry. It gave me indigestion and regurgitated back. This was so bad that I would not trust anything from this restaurant except breakfast.
Love the rebrand. Absolutely delicious Cobb salad. Service to match. Overall, great experience.
Unless it's an emergency, find somewhere else to eat.
Nice surprise, no more Iron Skillet. Food was good, service was good, nice job on the remodle.
