As a frequent patron of this soul food establishment in Preston, Lancashire, I can confidently say it's an absolute gem. Let me walk you through my experiences, which have consistently earned this establishment a well-deserved 5-star rating. Firstly, let's talk about value. This place offers the cheapest food on Friargate, and quite possibly in all of Preston. Despite the affordable prices, they don't compromise on quality. The food here is not only delicious but also healthy, with an extensive menu featuring veggie and vegan options. From wraps and burritos to pizzas, chicken and rice, burgers, steak, and much more, there's something to satisfy every craving. What sets this place apart is their commitment to using locally sourced ingredients. Knowing that my meal supports local producers adds an extra layer of satisfaction to every bite. And speaking of bites, the food here is nothing short of terrific. Each dish is expertly prepared in the open kitchen, ensuring freshness and quality with every order. But it's not just about the food; the staff here are the friendliest and most helpful you'll ever encounter. Their warm demeanor and genuine enthusiasm create a welcoming atmosphere that fosters a strong sense of community. Plus, their service is lightning-fast, perfect for those times when you're craving a late-night snack after a night out clubbing. Speaking of late-night cravings, this place stays open until 3 am, making it the ultimate destination for post-clubbing feasts. Now, let's talk about the chips. They deserve a review of their own because they are simply out of this world. I'm talking 11/10 chips, some of the best I've ever had in my life. Crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and seasoned to perfection, they are the stuff of dreams. In conclusion, this soul food establishment is a must-visit for anyone in Preston looking for delicious, affordable eats with a side of friendly service and a strong sense of community. Trust me, you won't be disappointed. Vegetarian options: There is a full vegetarian and vegan menu, with all veggie and vegan options clearly labeled. Dietary restrictions: There is a list of all allergens for the food, and you can request the staff to remove or add ingredients to any meal depending on the dietary needs. Kid-friendliness: There is a full children's menu, but I'd always recommend just sharing portions of your food as the portions are rather large. Wheelchair accessibility: It has complete wheelchair accessibility, with inside ramps and plenty of floor space.
Used to be really good, used this place for years. Last three times food arrived stone cold and all squashed. Absolute garbage, gone downhill massively
While I've always had delivery from food savour, I really enjoy food from here. The chicken dishes are delicious with the creole chicken with rice being my favourite. The food is always hot, well made, on time and well packaged for delivery. It's affordable for a regular treat, and so far I've no criticism to pass on. Thanks for good food!
