Great seafood and service.
Every time is a different experience. Sadly the most recent visit was not a positive one. I ordered the shrimp with grits and it was cold with 6 miniature shrimp. I do believe it was freshly made but most likely, placed under the heating lamp while they cooked the other meal we ordered. The attitude of the guy was not a very pleasant one when her offered a re-do. I took the offer but the meal was literally just thrown together. This time it was hot but tasteless.
The fish is good the fries are cold The hush puppies were cold. The shrimp was good. The one in Dallas on Irving Boulevard is much better, but will still give this place another chance.
Awful tasteless trash. Bought a $16 whole fried fish. It was all crust and bones. I would have sent it back but I didn't have time. Wife got the mahi fish. She said it was also tasteless. We were surprised how popular this place was considering the awful food.
Nice, low-key place. But the food is good, and the soundtrack was even better! I felt like I was in Mississippi... lots of delta, Memphis style blues playing out of the speakers. I loved it .
I'm sorry to say but I did not have a good experience at all and needless to say, I should've known when I saw the work crew at the establishment. Not to sound rude or racist but I knew not to order at a seafood place where Mexicans work. I'm a southern girl, born and raised on the Gulf in Alabama, the Port of seafood and I know how seafood and especially GUMBO is suppose to taste. The gumbo tasted like it was scorched and as if they mixed some red bean juice into it or something. It was awful. And on top of that, I saw a roach on the table as I was checking to make sure my food I ordered was right.
