Never been to any Flippers pizza before, but thought I'd try it, after seeing it around the are for the nearly 7 yrs since moving to FL. Upon walking in, the staff were friendly, and pointed out the paper menus (because what appears to be a menu up on the wall above is really just an advertisement made to look like a menu, but whatever). Ordered a personal-sized pizza... with some of the basics - pepperoni, Italian sausage, black olives, mushroooms, and extras asiago cheese. Pretty simple, right? And it was delivered to me quickly. No problem with the location, the staff or the cleanliness. Unfortunately, the problem was simply... the pizza. The worse I've ever had in my life (and I've had a LOT of pizza)!! It was cooked properly, looked presentable (sorry, didn't take any pics), and had good proportions of toppings, exactly as I'd ordered. The problem was it just WAS NOT GOOD. The crust was ok, soft and bland, the tomato sauce was present... but that was about it. No tomato flavor whatsoever. It did look fresh, as advertised, but it had no flavor?! The pepperoni was boring (not much bite to it at all), the Italian Sausage was probably the worst pizza sausage I've ever had - it felt and tasted like defrosted, bland frozen sausage. Flavorless... and greasy. The canned black olives were fine, and the chopped mushrooms were fine. But this was THE most bland, flavorless, soggy pizza I've ever had. I didn't say anything to them, simply because it seemed properly prepared, the ingredients are just plain not good. A total waste of calories, if I'm going to be eating pizza out. I am NOT someone to waste food... and I honestly don't think I have EVER done this before, but I literally ate 2 slices of the 4-slice personal-sized pizza... and LEFT the rest (I ALWAYS take leftovers home), but this was not NOT even worth it - not even a little bit. Again, let me say, the people working there were good, the ambiance was fine, the pizza was just horrible. I've never left such a negative food review before, but I believe in honesty... Flippers (IMHO) needs to seriously step up the quality of their ingredients. Most bland frozen pizzas I've had were far better than this. Never again - ever.
I was about to order pizza and registered on their website and after that got an email with a coupon for free myPie. Site did not want to take that coupon, then I called them and after 15 min investigation, they told me the promotion program was not valid anymore. Kinda left me with bad feelings about wasting a lot of time for nothing Update: I wrote to the provided email twice - no answer, going down to 1 star.
