We were traveling through town and I was wanting a better than fast food lunch. They totally delivered. It was a great experience. Our server was quiet knowledgeable and went over the various beer selections. The food was amazing. My wife really enjoyed the special grilled cheese sandwich. I had a burger that they had no issues customizing for me. The onion rings were delicious. It was a little loud, but not too bad. We had about a 20 minute wait to be seated on a busy Saturday around 1pm. Parking: It had just snowed the day before so the parking lot was a bit of a mess.
I've been going to Flat Branch for 18 years at this point. They are one of the reasons I started drinking craft beer. Was hooked on a strawberry beer they had at the time, Katy Trail Pale Ale, Oil Change, Green Chili. All classics. Every time I'm in Columbia, it's on the short list of places I go. Food is always great. Chokes and Cheese, Pretzels, Bacon Chicken Wrap, just all time classics. Was in town for True/False, a notoriously difficult time to work in a restaurant in CoMo and we had Brenden as our server. Knocked it out of the park. Super attentive, great attitude, had recommendations. I always love Flat Branch, but this was just an especially good time, I had to stop and write a review.
The classic burger was bland, I used no condiments- I could barely taste the beef. Sloppy, but the best part was the black beans. Did not notice the daily or weekly special, I should’ve ordered the flat bread. Maybe it’s brewery smells, but it smelled off dining in.
