Great service and excellent food.

This place was absolutely amazing! Makes me think of being at a cottage far from home for a weekend getaway, and waking up on a Sunday and going to a cute little diner. But it’s so nice to know that it’s close to home! It was my first time coming here with my husband. We were celebrating our 3 year anniversary from when he proposed. Also, his dad loves fishing, so I will definitely be bringing his dad here when he comes up to visit us because of the fishing ornaments they have there. The food was absolutely amazing! Even when I got full, I kept eating because it’s so tasty.. I will definitely be recommending this place to all my friends. And it’s reasonable in price too! I love that it’s a family owned restaurant, that has a lot of character and history.. Thanks for feeding us Fil! We’ll be back :)

I would give Fil's 10 stars if I could! Especially for the decor and amazing food. Fil and Litsa are a treasure in Barrie and I love his sense of humor, Greek humor is legendary! I'm so glad to live around the corner, this is definitely my new go to place! Also the best hot sauce I've ever had, I just had to buy a bottle for home. Sausages are supposed to taste like pork since they're made of pork

First time trying Fil's this morning and I won't lie, at first I wasn't sure but the family that owns and runs this restaurant are so nice. The service was great. The food and coffee were fantastic. They even walked around with a basket full of candy and chocolates to share. This was half of my western omelette that came with potatoes and toast. Fil's special hot sauce is addictive!

Cool little joint for breakfast. Do not be in a hurry, enjoy the ambiance!

Stopped in here for breakfast recently, based on the reviews. The place is VERY small, only about 10 tables, and it's VERY cluttered with things on the wall, and could definitely use a cleaning, especially in the bathrooms, and some updating and paint. You feel like you're eating at grammas house. Literally. But! The couple that runs the place are super, very friendly and welcoming, easy to talk to, they know everyone by name, and the food is very good, portions are decent and prices are fair. Some areas for improvement; The coffee wasn't very good, the breakfast sausage was "porky" tasting, and the home fries were under cooked and needed more crisping. I'd suggest some light music so it's not so awkwardly quiet in such a small place. The bacon was good, eggs were cooked perfectly, French toast was awesome! Overall it was a good experience.

Good honest home style cooking. Great portion sizes and fresh! Definitely have to save room for dessert, all homemade and fabulous!!!
