Outstanding first visit last night. It was jammed & loud but the space is smallish so makes sense. We arrived at 6:40pm and were told that there would be a 1.5hr wait. So we went for some espresso to pass the time. 30-mins later, we received a text saying that a table was available. Must be challenging to estimate wait times. Probably all guesstimates (I guess). The trouble is telling a guest 1.5hr and then only taking 30mins is a bit off-putting. Initially made us consider going elsewhere. Once seated, the waitstaff was friendly and attentive. Plenty of folks to make everything efficient and smooth. Ordered two appetizers: guac/chips and empanadas. Both were amazing. Not sure that I’ve ever had empanadas previously so these will definitely set a high bar! For the main course, we had the Moqueca de Peixe (Brazilian seafood stew) and fajitas. Both were excellent but the seafood stew is a standout…must try it! The owners stopped by the table and chatted a bit…really nice folks! We’ll definitely add Fernando’s to the rotation. So many other dishes to try on the menu.
I've been here twice, and food and service been amazing! Love the traditionally gluten free Brazilian cheese buns made with cassava flour. Yum! Make sure to check out the pisco selection at the bar, it isn't common to see south American liquors highlighted, so that is fun.
Had to ask for flavoring sauce. Otherwise bland Good quality ingredients.
Muy buena comida, muy buena atención, muy buen concepto de fusión. Los sabores bien equilibrados y los Menús muy bien variados. Si tuviera algo que mejorar sería la distribución de los espacios y la decoración de resto todo muy encantador.
This is a true gem in Indy! My favorite place for lunch and dinner. Drinks with the girls or food with the family. It’s super cozy. It’s family owned and operated, and they really take care of guests! I’d give more stars if I could. Parking: Look, it’s broad ripple so the lots are tiny, but there is plenty of free street parking!
It’s a pretty rare occasion that I go to a new restaurant and am just blown away by their food. Everything I had at Fernandos was absolutely delicious. We started out with the queso fundido, a queso with a blend of other cheeses which was incredible. The house made chips that came with it were perfect. I then got the Pollo Azteca (essentially fajitas with an absolutely delicious tomato cream sauce) and it was also really, really good. They have a wide selection of cocktails. I had few of the mango margarita mocktails that were great. Service was attentive and atmosphere was nice. We will definitely be back! Parking: Small lot, but lots of street parking.
Fernando’s is my go to lunch/dinner spot. Owned by the sweetest family, I’m always taken care of at their restaurant. The menu is so good!!!
Really impressed. We got DoorDash which was our first experience here. We liked everything we got. Will definitely eat here again. Food arrived early. It was all hot and very fresh. Portions were good size. 10/10 highly recommend.
Me and my husband visited for our Valentines Day Dinner and everything was amazing! You need to run and eat there now! The food, the service, the atmosphere. The owner was so friendly and checked on us making sure everything was to our liking. We were so excited to finally find a place with Brazilian food. We’re going to become regulars here for sure. Don’t have pictures to post because we inhaled everything so fast haha.
