The char grilled oysters from Felix’s single-handedly fuels my urge to plan more trips down to NOLA. They are just fantastic after a long day walking around exploring. If you like seafood, I would highly recommend especially with a drizzle of Crystals hot sauce and lemon.
Delicious redfish and vegetables!
especially targeting to tourists nothing special, drinks are serve in plastic glass Just expensive !! Total for 2 people we paid 85$
We were seated properly and we continued to sit and sit for almost 10 minutes before my husband stopped a waiter who is waiting on all the tables around us. He was checking on all the table’s except us, which was odd considering he has to walk passed us several times to help the other customers. Not sure what was going on with that but a simple “We will be with you shortly “and at least some water would’ve been nice. And when our waiter finally showed up at our table, I was irritated and ready to leave which I should have. But the waiter was nice and apologized for the wait. The rest of the dinner went just OKAY. I would love to rave about Felix’s and talk about what a great experience we had but it wasn’t that great. With all of the restaurants and great food to choose from the little things like basic customer service goes a long way with me.
The overwhelming smell of seafood hits you once you enter, but don’t let this stop you—these are the biggest, freshest oysters I’ve ever seen in my life. It’s a pretty tight little joint but you’re there for the food, and boy, is that food good. If these oysters were any bigger they’d have to fish them with a harpoon.
The best restaurant that I found on the last day of my trip in New Orleans! They have this elegant beautiful balcony and the food served nice and quick. The staff are very friendly. Will definitely come back again when I visit Nola again. It was a great experience, thank you.
Came in last week late at night about 1 hr before closing we were seated at the bar. When 1st sat down noticed a strong odor. Almost like stagnant water\sewer smell should of left then and there. Decided to order a dozen raw oysters and I ordered a captain morgan and diet coke they don't carry that only sailor Jerry ok. Order dinner at the same time. Had oysters they were plump but warm. I had a few. Next thing I know I had to make a dash to the bathroom sick to my stomach. Food came I had the New Orleans sampler the rice was hard as a rock. When the bartender finally came back he asked if they could remake it.. at that point just wanted to leave I asked if I could have just a diet coke. He said sure here have 2 at no charge. And handed me 2 hot room temperature diet Cokes no glass of ice but probably would have gotten sicker from dirty ice anyway. For $120 without tip will definitely not be back.
This restaurant is the place to be at!! The food was delicious and not only that but they are extraordinary at accommodating for their guests, wether they are from out of town or military visiting on a special occasion this is the place you want to be at !!!
My dining experience was just lackluster and the food was bland. The hostesses were very kind.
