Lovely staff and the breakfast was excellent
After a pleasant walk around the castle and river we went to have lunch, the prices were reasonable, the food was hot and very nice , not mentioned the cake I had - to die for ! the service friendly ,fast, and with smile. We enjoyed very much ,all 3 of us :) just be aware, the kitchen closes at 2pm (not sure if every day or weekday only?) then only serves drinks and cakes
Sunday lunch was absolutely delicious, cooked perfectly and the service was great £55 for 4 Sunday lunches and 4 alcoholic drinks, absolute bargain. Definitely worth a visit.
Updated 01/02/24 It has been literally YEARS since last going to Feeling Peckish. My good lady remembered going before and we decided to go again! Good choice darling! Curried parsnip soup + burger, cheese, bacon & onion rings + coffees. First, coffee. As any of you reading this may know, I like good coffee (yeah, OK, get over yourself !!!) and this coffee was excellent! Forgotten how good it was. Soup. Homemade, delicious, and filling. Burger. A very good patty with plenty of the extras, resulting in a 'very tasty burger' . Loads of curly fries, too. It would be 5☆ anyway, but the final bill would make it 5+☆. The service was real, not 'have nice day'. The cafe / premises is just right. Very highly recommended . Really tasty home cooked food and drinks. Good value for money. Pleasant owner & staff and seems to have lots of satisfied local repeat custom (including us now we've been there). Very much recommended.
Excellent cafe. I had one of the Specials, Steak and Ale Pie followed by Apple Pie and Custard. Friendly service. Recommended.
Lovely cafe with lovely staff.
Stopped here for Sunday breakfast before going to classic motorcycle show. Good food fast service.
We've been here a couple of times now and must say it's one of the best cafes I've been to, foods amazing the atmospheres great and the staff are so friendly and helpful
