Fairlight Guesthouse and Cafe

Myself and my daughter had a lovely warm welcome when we arrived at Fairlights. The owner, her daughter and other staff go above and beyond to make your stay a pleasant one. Our room and the communal areas were absolutely spotlessly clean. The breakfast was delicious and set us up for the day. We spent the weekend here to walk the Ullswater way, but didn't finish the walk. So when we come back to complete it, we will definitely stay here again.

Excellent location from which my group started a hike up Helvellyn via Striding Edge. Really good service, the owner was very friendly and helpful. There are 4 parking spaces available out in front of the building. There are lots of tables available where we had breakfast. Breakfast was excellent with lots of different cooked options available, including vegetarian. There were also cereals, toast, yoghurt, fruit and juices available. The rooms were very comfortable and the bathroom had a good shower. Clean towels, tea, coffee and bathroom products were also available. It's a lovely place to stay & I hope to be able to come back in the future.

Great location in the middle of Glenridding. Room was lovely and toasty & very clean. Breakfast was substantial with very attentive staff. Recommended Nearby activities: Surrounded by Ullswater and the fells. Walkability: Short stroll to the shops & pubs

Absolutely fantastic breakfast and latte was very nice and the staff are very pleasant. I don't usually eat mushrooms on the breakfast as most places I find tend to be hit or miss but the ones at Fairlight were a hit Walkability: Set in lovely surroundings with a huge carpark next to it and lots of nature walks around

Lovely b&b the owner was very welcoming and kind enough to let us park on site while we hiked for 7.5 hours in the snow great breakfast and warm clean rooms with power showers you could spend hours in

We stayed for four nights in late October. Clean, comfortable, warm and excellent breakfast, friendly host, good communication and fantastic location - did not need to use the car once during our stay. - What more could you want? Will return.
