I was up from Baltimore Md Looking for a spot to eat. Didn't want the normal chain food. I found this gem in Gloversville. It did not disappoint. The food was fantastic, cooked to order. I got the fish and the chicken with collards, Mac n cheese, and yams. I highly recommend it.
Absolutely authentic soul food. Yummy delicious.
Reasonably priced good home cooked food. The fried chicken was better than KFC. Takeout only at this time. Limited hours and no drinks.
I'm a little mixed about this place. The guy working there was very pleasant and the food came out quickly. I ordered fried fish with collard greens and mac&cheese, and a chicken quesadilla with rice. Prices are fair and portions are decent. The fish and quesadilla were both good, but the sides were a bit disappointing. The mac&cheese was super wet, like oddly wet. The pasta was too overcooked and soft. The flavor was good though. The collard greens were a little too tangy and salty for me, but they weren't bad. I would go back for the quesadilla, and maybe try something else on the menu. I'll do an update on my 2nd visit.
I love that this place has food that tastes like home. You can really tell that the cooking came from a place of passion
the best soul food a.gloves on hands down
