Simply , service was amazing and fast. However the items described on the menu do not portray what exactly you'll get. It sounds amazing on paper and presentation is great but the food falls flat. Its not bad but its not great. We got the manicotti and sweet pepper tortellini. The manicotti is heavy and hot. It was alot more cheese then expected. The pesto sauce was great light and rich but the amount of cheese overpowers and saturates the entite dish. The sweet pepper tortellini was good again just not for the price good. The tortellini tasted like it came from the store not made inhouse. The sauce was amazing. Was disappointed as it was a recommendation.
Having never been here, I was excited to try this place. I made reservations for 3 of us for dinner a few days before the date. They said they only had an opening at 6:15 p.m., so I grabbed it. I had hoped for something a bit earlier, as our paint class downtown was done at 5:15pm. We figured we would go over to the restaurant early, 40 minutes, maybe sit at the bar or get our table a little early. We arrived to find the place basically empty, literally 4 tables of guests. The hostess told us we'd have to wait until our scheduled reservation because all the empty tables were spoken for. So apparently, 40ish people were going to walk through the door in the next 15 minutes? I didn't buy it. There's no place to wait, really. She was so snooty that I told her to just cancel, and we'd find someplace else to have dinner. She should probably be working in the back of the house instead of directly with guests. I doubt I'll be back. There are plenty of great restaurants to have a wonderful experience downtown without rude staff.
The food is pretty good by Spokane standards but the service was lacking. My server was rude and ruined our experience. Not what I was expecting when spending $300.
We made a reservation for 5:30 pm because some of the people in our group had to leave for an event later that evening. It took them 2 hours to get our food to us. 3 people in our party left for their event and didn't get their food and I waited for it. They almost fixed the problem by offering us free desserts, but after we got the bill they still charged two of us for dessert. They gave some lame reason why only half of us would get a free dessert. We ended spending $140 for 4 people. Honestly, it has a great atmosphere, but be prepared for slow/inattentive service. Not what you would expect from a restaurant that costs as much as it did. Food was ok, but the experience was ruined. An hour in we asked for our food and it still took another hour to get it. I assume our order got misplaced. Maybe they are trying to capture the true Italian dining experience by drawing it out for hours? Probably should skip this place and got to Spaghetti Factory, lol.
Europa is the best fine dining experience available in downtown Spokane. We're repeat customers who love the great food, excellent service, and relaxing atmosphere. This is a restaurant you have to visit at least once in your life.
Expect to wait at least 1:30 hrs for food to come. Food was ok, appetizer good.
