Ellington Park Bistro

Where service meanders, letting time slip slow, and brunch comes with a price tag that's high, we know. The ambiance, inviting, sets a splendid scene, where paying for mood over meal doesn't seem too keen. The food, quite delightful, holds its own charm, a culinary embrace that's sure to disarm. Yet, oddly enough, as the meal unfolds, a citrus absence in the narrative holds. No lemons to find, a strange oversight, in a restaurant's tale, it's a curious plight. A blend of slow service, good food, and vibe, with a lemony gap, one can't describe.

We had dinner at this restaurant tonight. We were placed at a table for 2 very close to the bar. We were squashed between other tables very close to us. I was being brushed constantly by waiters and other patrons at the bar. I requested another table I was told the restaurant was booked out and another table was as not available. We had another patron sitting very close to us who was coughing. Obviously unwell. The waiter did move people away from the bar to create space behind me. When we left some 2 hours later, the other tables at the other end of the restaurant were vacant as they had been all night. Why were we not moved?? I was not told the truth about the tables being booked out. . Other tables were available. My entree of escargots was not hot and served on a bun which was inappropriate. My steak was good. Would I go back or recommend this restaurant? No!

Would have loved to try the cocktails but was turned away when I tried to enter at 9:06 pm despite their own website saying the bar was open until 10 pm, bummer

Cute aesthetic, bad vibes. Pricey food with bad taste and limited options. Servers talk loudly about you right in front of you. I was so excited to try this place because of tiktok, but my expectations weren’t met unfortunately.

I have been wanting to visit Ellington Park for some time and finally had a chance to stop by with some friends for a Sunday brunch. When we arrived, the host greeted us and immediately let us know that she was quadruple seating one of her waiters and that they would probably be mad at her for seating us, but not to worry, she would be around to help if needed. The service from our server was slow and completely unacceptable. It was 15 mins before we could order some drinks, another 15 to make them, and then the server would disappear for extended amounts of time while our glasses remained empty. The saving grace was the food, which was delicious. Customer service training is desperately needed for the host and the female server that tended to our table.

Came for brunch. Forty five minutes into ordering bottomless our server had been to the table one time to get our drink order and another to bring the drinks. We had to seek out another server to ask for a refill. When he did bring the drinks he spilled an entire glass of mimosa on my friend’s lap. I get things happen but to never once apologize, or offer to comp anything, is poor service. Smash burger, baked ratatouille, and crab deviled eggs were great. But it won’t change the service.

A real pleasure for an happy hour

We stayed for a weekend. The room was great and so were the staff. The food and service was really good. The only disappointment was that the restaurant was small, so we were unable to get a table for breakfast on both the mornings we were there. Thankfully, there are great breakfast places in walking distance. The location was good for exploring the city. Vegetarian options: I am vegan and the kitchen was able to cater for my needs.
