Fun spot with affordable food and excellent quality
I split the queso fundido with a friend and ordered El Sol Chicharrón (a quesadilla). Exactly what I needed after a cold day in the rain. Tasty food, good service, generous portions, 5/5
The restaurant has a very small space and you could definitely feel the close proximity that makes it feel cramped. Despite this, we were seated very effectively and the food was delivered in such a timely manner. The dish options were normal but not overwhelming and the appetizers and entrees were incredibly flavorful. I would say depending on your dish, it may be smaller or larger than you expect. I would advise not taking a car as it probably applies to all of DC, public transit and walking access was amazing and the area did not feel unsafe at the 8pm hour that we ate. Overall, we enjoyed our service, a comfortable authentic Mexican place for visitors! Parking: We saw some parking spots but very difficult to navigate around this area with car.
The Chilaquiles were good
An awesome spot for some authentic Mexican food! The enchiladas called to me and were so filling and tasty. The maracuya margarita was sour but good! Fair prices for the portions too. I was so full!
The chicken tacos were delicious and the staff accommodated my rice allergy.
Small but cozy place. Seating on the second floor. Food was fantastic!
